1. No one knows how good the former Syracuse point guard Michael Carter-Williams will be, but I think he will be the Rookie of the Year next of next season. There are two reasons here. First, the Philadelphia 76ers will give him sufficient time to prove himself. The 76ers even trade their All-star guard Holiday so MCW can be a starter in their line up. That ensures his statistics at least will not be too bad. Second, compares to other rookies, MCW is more mature to play in the new league. In other words, he is ready to play in NBA. His body is physically prepared for those high-intensity games. There is not very much point guard in this league like him, with that height, doing everything. That is why I think he will be the Rookie of the Year.
2. Knicks is going to be better. Haters consider this as a joke, but only Knicks fans know what is going on. We got the 2006 first pick Andrea Bargnani from Toronto. Compare with the former big shooter, Novak, Andrea is much more effective pick-setter. We also enhanced our defensive aspect. World-peace will make the Knicks a tougher team, and our oldest rookie in NBA will run the team smoothly. As usual, Melo will put the team on his shoulder, but JR Smith and Stoudemire will help him out.

The data we will be using to compare these two point guards will be ppg (points per game), assist, steals, turnovers, field goal percentage and awards. Why? Because these categories of data are the things that make up a point game and most of the time their objective in the game to do good in one of those categories. The reason we chose these to pgs is because they are bot dominant at their position and now its time to see who is better.…

His back-court mate Isaiah Thomas is currently leading the team in both scoring and assists at 20.8 and 6.3, respectively. Thomas came over to the Celtic last year in a mid-season trade with the Phoenix Suns. Since his arrival, he has assumed the role as team leader and shown remarkable consistency, which has certainly exceeded any expectations the Celtics had when they gave up Marcus Thornton and a 2016 first-round pick to get him.…

Since the introduction of anabolic steroids, the main objective of using them has been widely abused. The use of these substances has steadily increased throughout the years. As popularity of anabolic steroids escalated, so has its demand. With the inception of anabolic steroids in the world of professional sports, the acceptance of doping amongst athletes was positive. During the 1970s, there were no repercussions for taking anabolic steroids, and so athletes, especially football players and weight-lifters, were trying to get that physical advantage over their competitors. Many professional baseball and football players of this most recent generation have used anabolic steroids. In football there was the great Lawrence Taylor, Bill Romanowski, and Shawne Merriman. In baseball, a steroid scandal involved the great Barry Bonds, and numerous baseball prodigies who juiced up such as Mark McGwire, Jose Canseco, Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, and Manny Ramirez. Not only have baseball and football players used anabolic steroids, but other types of athletes, such as power-lifters, as well. In track and field, Tim Montgomery was cited for doping. In recent years, female track and field athletes such as Marion Jones were busted for using anabolic steroids. With the accessibility of anabolic steroids increasing at an alarming rate, a person has to wonder what kind of effect anabolic steroids could have on adolescents? If doping really is becoming accepted amongst professional athletes, what kind of influence will it have on the adolescents? This research analysis essay will be exploring the physical and mental risks and consequences for adolescents using anabolic steroids as well as their motivation for doping.…

When African-American NBA basketball player, Kendall Marshall, wasn’t getting enough playing time according to his father, he tweeted “I always said there was racism in sports. White guys in basketball are getting every chance to succeed even when they aren’t doing sh!t” (Marshall). Although the father quickly apologized, the media took every chance they could to bring this story to headline news by making the title “The Sixers Are Racist” (Deadspin) “Sixers Are Racist for Benching His Son” (SI) making the controversy more popular and causing a bigger commotion than it needed to be. Other professional athletes went public about their feelings regarding racism and sports and the results were not as expected. Fellow African-American NFL football player Benjamin Watson, responded to the Kendall Marshall controversy in an unexpected manner and goes on to say “…ultimately the problem is not a skin problem, but a sin problem. Sin is the reason we rebel against authority” (Benjamin Watson). With Watson, a professional competitive athlete exclaiming how racism isn’t a problem in sports, but in the way that “we (African-Americans) abuse our authority” (Watson), shows from an unbiased racially similar colleague that racism isn’t an issue in sports. An ESPN African-American football analyst, Michael Smith goes public…
