It is significant to know what happened at Three Mile Island and at Chernobyl even though there regardless of the little interest in science or engineering due to many factors. The Chernobyl accident in Belarus and Three Mile Island accident in Pennsylvania made us aware that the error in technological systems can result in life destructive situations. Even though there are several benefits and gains from advanced technology, engineering and science, it can result in life threatening situations as well in case of fault conditions. These incidents help to understand the negative aspects of such advancements also. The impacts of both Three Mile Island and at Chernobyl accidents are not affordable to humans in health-wise & economical wise. Most of the people remember about these two accidents as the visual aspects of fire or explosion that destruct thousands of lives. In fact, such visual impacts and memory will spread all parts of world and last for longer period till people can visualize & remember. Contradictory statement is that even though Three Mile Island and at Chernobyl accidents convey a message of negativity regarding technology and science, it is more under control in today’s environment and we are in developed stage to avoid such calamities in future. So it is not much significant to know about these incidents.
