Three Day Food Intake

SCI/220

Three Day Food Intake Diseases consume third world countries, due to the lack of proper nutrients. Protein is the most important contributor to the overall wealth of the human body. “Protein is necessary for the building and repair of body tissues. It produces enzymes, hormones, and other substances the body uses. It regulates body processes, such as water balancing, transporting nutrients, and making muscles contract. Protein keeps the body healthy by resisting diseases that are common to malnourished people. Protein also prevents one from becoming easily fatigued by producing stamina and energy” (Georgetown University, 2013). Over the last three days Iprofile was

Carbohydrates, proteins and lipids are identified as macronutrients. The carbohydrates, proteins and lipids are all sources of energy for the body to function. When insufficient macronutrients are received the individual would become severely fatigue, and acceptable to chronic diseases. 3-Day Diet Analysis Billy Davis SCI/241 May 12, 2013 Augusta Downey 3-Day Diet Analysis My current diet is a complete disaster. Because of my work schedule, I don’t get up until around 11:00am, so when I do wake I have a cup or two of orange juice which is what I consider to be my breakfast. On the way to work, I grab a hamburger and soft drink. Also, I sometimes skip the soft drink and get a Monster energy drink if I am still tired from the night before. I have to put Devion on the bus in the morning which leaves me very sleepy most days, so I use this as an excuse to grab the energy drinks to make it through each day. My day at work is really boring, so, my co-worker and I sit and eat to actually entertain ourselves throughout the day. One of my major obstacles will be to ignore her when she offers me some foods or snacks because she really likes to eat several different snacks throughout the day. She really gets offended if someone turns down her offer for a snack, but, I would really like to lose some of this weight.…

Three Days Food-Intake My daily diet should contain a balance of proteins, carbohydrates (carbs), and lipids (collectively called macronutrients). According to Kirby (2011), micronutrients are substances such as vitamins, and minerals that are essential for healthy growth and developments. The body only requires small quantities of micronutrients and without them serious problems can arise. The role of each micronutrient makes proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids equally important in my diet. Proteins are important for repair and tissue growth, helps the body to make enzymes and hormones, as well as preserve lean muscle mass and is a source of energy. Carbohydrates are the body main source of energy and are easily broken down into glucose (sugar) which is used for immediate energy. They ensure that my muscles, kidneys, brain and nervous system properly functions also. All my life I have been told that fats (lipids) were bad for my health only to find out those small amounts in my diet is important for normal body function such as the absorbing of fat soluble vitamins and promotes normal growth and development. This paper is to discuss a three day food intake of proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids.…

Three Day Diet Analysis According to the food pyramid, my diet is horrible considering what I have consumed in these 3 days. It shows that I need to start eating more, and better quality foods. My sugar intake is too high and should be reconsidered. Possibly I could swap out processed sugars for natural sugars; such as in fruit. It is obvious from the records I have provided that I do not take in as much (if any) fruit that one should be consuming on a daily basis. Thus, not only am I depriving myself of vitamins, I am also depriving myself of the fiber needed in order for my digestive system and metabolism to work as necessary. I will have to incorporate more whole grains with fruit and vegetables to act as roughage, as going to the bathroom proves difficult for me- most likely this is why.…

Introduction Over the past three days, I have completed a three-day food diary. This involved recording all the exercise I did and everything I ate for breakfast, lunch, dinner and multiple snacks throughout the three days. I found this experience quite interesting as it made me more aware of what I eating and how this relates to the guidelines for my age category (14-18). This report will be able to tell me what improvements I need to make to have a balanced diet and also the reflect on my diet currently. I will go through each food group including grain (cereal foods), vegetables, fruit, dairy, lean meats, poultry, eggs, etc and discretionary choices and reflect on the amount of serves I consumed for that for group.…
