Thick Cane Analysis
When Staff Sergeant Hardman told Manning he was going to be thrashed, the lad clearly knew that it was going to hurt and hurt a fucking lot. The Thick Cane seemed to be alarming Manning and when Staff Sergeant Hardman began to administer it to his buttocks the lad soon realised that he was being thrashed severely. Staff Sergeant Hardman firmly believes that when he has to take a cane to a lad's backside, the lad needs to really feel it, yesterday Manning felt the Thick Cane drive deep into his buttocks. Manning seemed to struggle with each batch of five dozen that Staff Hardman laid on and his backside clearly felt each and every one of these strokes properly, the lad bucked at every stroke which told Staff he was feeling his thrashing …show more content…
The searing nature of the pain really builds during a rapid-fire dose. It is hugely challenging but also absolutely awesome... When it came to the called for strokes, I knew that it was really going to hurt, but I was also feeling very resolute. Each stroke of the Thick Cane really battered my buttocks, yet at the same time seared the surface. While it did hurt like fuck, I was telling myself that I was hard enough to take it and to show that by taking it well. In comparison to the Thick Cane, the Senior Cane felt like a hot knife slicing through my buttocks every time it landed. Because my buttocks were very well 'seasoned' by then, I was soon feeding on the pain and willing it to hurt more, even when the cane landed directly on my weak spot! I certainly felt every stroke of the Senior Cane and it was an awesome experience. It was hugely painful, but I just knew that I could take it and take it like a hard man. The harder you thrashed me, the more pride I felt as I was taking it properly. I do indeed have a very sore backside …show more content…
100 dozen Strokes of the Cat were well laid on a hard man's back and he felt them like a hard man should when he is flogged. Staff Sergeant Hardman is definitely as hard as they come and his performance on Friday was truly impressive! Taking 1,200 strokes of the Cat like a real hard man is a major achievement. Today the skin on about 50% of my back is mottled with blood spots under the surface (which I think looks very fucking horny) and overall my back is a bit tender. I think both of these things are testament to a flogging well laid on. Although your back didn't go as red as I would have expected, given the volume of strokes that you took, individual welt marks were clearly visible and the surface of your back was corrugated with the cumulative effect of the welts. This looked very horny! I hope that the flogging you gave me yesterday has laid to rest any remaining demons from the previous time? In truth, I was very apprehensive at the start, given what had happened before. This was why I spent some time practising and also asking advice. Once I'd got my eye in, I started to gain confidence, which built as your flogging progressed. The demons have been laid to rest, Andy. Throughout the flogging you laid on harder and

Epidural anesthesia is preferred by some clinicians. Epidural anesthesia and analgesia requires placing a specially designed needle (Hustead, Tuohy, or Crawford) into the epidural space. Drugs may be injected directly through the needle or an epidural catheter may be inserted. Subsequent postoperative analgesia may utilize continuous drug infusion or injection of a single drug. A variety of other agents have been added to epidural infusions Epinephrine can induce a synergistic analgesic on the spinal cord as well as elicit vasoconstriction on the blood vessels for decreased absorption of local anesthetic36. Other multimodal approaches have utilized small doses of ketamine, an NMDA antagonist in the spinal cord, for sensory blockade and prevention of central sensitization of nociceptors37.…

The first and foremost issue to be noted in this case is that of Francis carelessly shooting his gun in the direction of Nigel and also that of Nigel responding and in turn shooting towards Francis. Had Francis not fired his gun towards Nigel could there be a possibility that Nigel would not in turn shoot back at Francis causing Aiden to be wounded in the crossfire? Was Francis acting in this manner due to provocation from Nigel? Could it also be possible that Nigel reacted and shot back at Francis in self defence with the fear of being shot himself driving him? Could Nigel have fired back due to provocation from Francis? If these initial events had not happened is it possible that Aiden would still be alive today? Upon deciding to bring the victim to hospital, Nigel criticized Francis’s method of carrying Aiden (an issue which is not in clear violation of any law) leading to Francis abandoning Aiden and leaving the scene and Nigel carrying the victim in a very poor manner back towards to car. Had Francis continued carrying Aiden to the car, would this had meant that his medical condition would not have deteriorated due to poor care carried out by Nigel afterwards? Even though Francis did not shoot Aiden, would the fact that he assumed a liable role to help bring the victim to hospital, though not legally obliged to do so, but then decided to leave half way through render him guilty of breaking a law because he did not carry out the act of choosing to assist a victim in need of medical care to the best of his…

No one expected him to abuse the people he was paid to care for. I handed Sgt. Daves a pair of gloves and set the boxes down on the floor for anyone else that needed them. Sgt. Daves was asking for someone to retrieve a mat because the inmate was lying face down and was continuing to bang his head on the concrete floor. I worked my way past them carefully to get a mat around the corner and brought it back placing it underneath his face. I went back around the corner to get the nurse from medical area and he was already walking through the door to come to check on the inmate. I got down onto my knees and assisted by holding his head and we began discussing rolling him over onto his back. We carefully rolled him over onto his back so that the nurse could assess his head injury and decide if he would need to go to the hospital for further treatment. I began to talk to inmate Chad Fields asking him why he was banging his head onto the floor. He responded saying that the voices were telling him to do it, his children had been killed by the sheriff and he wanted to go to be in heaven with his children. I asked him if he ever drank alcohol, he said “no”. I told him that he could relax his head in my hands, the nurse was back with some water to rinse his wound so that he could take a better look at…

The trial started and the first person who took the stand was the Sheriff, Mr Tate. The oppositions Lawyer, Mr Gilmer, was the first to ask Mr Tate some questions, all Mr Gilmer asked the Sheriff was what had happened on that night, the Sheriff replied by saying that he saw Miss Ewell on the floor beaten up, and that she had told him Tom Robinson had beaten her up and that Tom Robinson had took advantage of her. Things hadn't started well for me and Tom Robinson. I stood up and proceeded to ask Mr Tate some questions, the first question I asked was if he had called a doctor, Mr Tate replied by saying no, I asked him in a different way another two times, to make my point clear that no doctor had been called. I then asked him to describe the girls injuries, he described them and I asked on what side of her face was her black eye, after a couple of tries he finally said it was her right eye, and that it was mainly the right side of her face that was banged up badly. This was good news for me and Tom Robinson as I knew that Tom couldn't use his left hand, and it was obvious that who ever beat her up was using his left hand, I didn't reveal this to the court just yet. I then sat down and Mr Tate left the stand.…

In Japanese Camps, those who misbehaved even at a minor degree could be faced with severe punishments, one recounting a particular attack as "blows with a fist, hammering over the face and head with wooden clogs, repeatedly thrown to the ground... kicking in the stomach and scrotum and ribs etc.... When the men fell to the ground they were somehow got to their feet by such a painful stimuli as the above and the dose was repeated" (hellfire-pass.commemoration.gov.au, 2015). This source also further proves that minor infractions such as fainting to salute Japanese guards as it describes the many physical punishments endured by prisoners. Severe be stings were common, as well as "face slapping", where they were repeatedly slapped with bamboo, sticks or shovels. It also describes seemingly tedious yet excruciating punishments such as being made to hold a heavy stone over their heads for hours, being forced into small cells with even less old and water than already provided, or in extreme cases, one man reported that a fellow prisoner was made to kneel on a piece of bamboo for a number of days which caused cuts in his legs which lead to gangrene and the eventual loss of both legs. Whilst still treated with distain, it is clear that the soldiers held by…

The key message is that we have a responsibility to safeguard vulnerable adults from abuse. It is recommended that you should read and understand this practice guidance as it sets out the responsibilities you have to promote the safety of vulnerable adults. Many people find it hard to understand why another person (or persons) would want to abuse and cause harm to a vulnerable person. However someone who is vulnerable can often be the perfect target. Why? Because often: ] They can’t defend themselves ] They may not be able to get away ] Even if they can tell, often they are not believed ] Sometimes our staff and organisation do not believe that it can happen ] It may be forgotten that vulnerable people have a human right to be safe (as we do) Abuse of vulnerable people does not have to be deliberate, malicious or planned. It sometimes happens when people are trying to do their best but do not know the right thing to do. Sometimes the person who causes harm does so because of…
