THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND This chapter presents the background of the study, problem and its significance, and the scope and delimitation of the study. Introduction
Nowadays, Cellphones are one of the technologies that most people use in their everyday lives. The use of cellphone is one of the fastest growing and most important developments in our time. People used cellphones as the easiest and fastest method of communication. Most students used cellphones to call and text their friends, relatives and other people as well. Until Smart Phones were created, now we are able to browse the internet, play different kinds of games and use more applications useful for productivity which older phones don’t offer.
Cellphones are just known as a piece of gadget where awesome package of glass, plastic, metal and wires- use to make our communication easier. It is one way to achieve changes, which we can do different things through using its features. And because of the widespread use and availability of Smart Phones, it is essential that everyone acquires an understanding to be ignorant of the important role of Smart Phones.
Android OS are used by most Smart Phone manufacturers (ex. Samsung, Sony Ericson Xperia’s, etc.) to run their Smart Phones. There are lots of applications and games that can be used through Android OS.
One example of things we can do with a Smart Phone is playing a game. Games are used for entertainment purposes. Different games for different kinds of people. But most of the games nowadays is just promoting violence, cruelty and even nudity. These things we cannot even use for our own development. Some Examples of games that promote violence is Counter-Strike, Elite Force, Sniper Assault and Sky Shoot.
This is why the researchers decided to develop a game that will help Elementary and High School students to enhance their Mathematical, Logical and Memorization skills. This game will be helpful to prepare them for college
