When cultures intermingle, countries will be able to better understand each other which can boost the success of businesses. This boost in business is what will help a country’s economy develop and grow. For example, trade can take place between countries that have developed a relationship through culture. Since culture varies in every country, it is important that businesses follow a cultural trend in order to enter or contribute to a country’s growing economy. With that said, it is possible for economies to decline due to a lack of culture integration. This decline in economic growth can result in poverty which …show more content…
Like all things, there are pros and cons to a democratic country. One large pro in relation to business is the freedom of organization and expression, such as starting a business. This freedom gives business owners that ability to operate their business according to their liking. Also, the company is given economic, social, and political power. Because a democracy allows individuals to start their own businesses, it is essentially easier to start a business in a democratic country. Aside from the pros are several cons. The reports in Sudan of civilians being killed and rebels and reports in Vietnam of religious leaders being prosecuted falls under a totalitarian rule. Totalitarianism, also called dictatorship, is the absolute political control of an individual or party over a population. From the violent actions mentioned above, it is obvious that a totalitarian rule is harmful to a society and to the economy. Although this form of government is not affecting the business directly, it is affecting the business indirectly. For example, the business is now experiencing pressure from activists and may continue to unless action is taken. Also, the violent chaos is creating an environment that can negatively affect economic growth. With that said, I would proceed to shift the operation of the business into a new country. Before doing so, I would need to analyze the market potential for different countries, run analysis, and develop a business expansion plan. Democracy needs certain conditions to get started. It is an eco-system, not a single tree, you can't just plant it and sit back in its shade. But once it is established, it is hard to uproot. What it really needs is a universal foundation based on respect for the individual: freedom of speech, freedom of association, primacy of the rule of law, relinquishing the use of political violence, the rights of women to participate fully in economic,…

Organizations can benefit from the culture they are surrounded by. Many organizations will change and mold to form the culture that is suitable for their liking. “An organization’s culture is built over time as members develop beliefs, values, practices, and artifacts that seem to work and are transmitted to new recruits” (Bolman & Deal, 2008, pp. 277-278). But culture is not always beneficial to an organizations; it can easily hinder an organizations overall effectiveness. What else can hurt an organization is that culture is ever changing. As job markets change, employees and managers change, and as the world inside and out of the organization changes, an organizations culture will mold to follow.…

In a democracy, people are free to do what they please and cannot be punished, persecuted, or terrorized for expressing their beliefs by the government. That is why democracy is a better form of government than Fascism, Nazism, and Communism. People all over the world are terrorized for what they look like or what they believe in and this is even enforced by some forms of government in the world. Under the U.S democracy, every person has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness which encourages citizens to favor the government and most importantly trust it. Democracy is a better form of government than any form of totalitarianism because with less chance of conflict in a country where the leaders are loved rather than feared, the government has more time to focus on important issues such as industrialization, foreign policies, and imperialization. By analyzing the totalitarian leaders of this time like Stalin, Hitler, and Mussolini we can better understand why democracy is such an effective form of government.…
