Theme Song Analysis
My Theme Song Before “Wrecking Ball,” like many other young, ten year old girls, Miley Cyrus was my idol! What made her my idol was that she was living her dream, and I wanted to do just the same. I would listen to all her music, watch her T.V. show “Hannah Montana”, and I even had a Hannah Montana birthday party. In 2009, she released a song that I listened to, but never understood the words. As a thirteen year old girl, I did not realize the impact her lyrics would have on me. My theme song is cliché, but it explains perfectly how my senior year has been. My theme song is “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus. The first ten words in the song are, “I can almost see it, that dream I’m dreaming.” The lyrics are impactful to me, because I have been dreaming of senior year and graduation for as long as I can remember, and it is finally here! I am about to go to my dream college, and pursue my dream career as an educator. All the years of …show more content…
“There’s always gonna be another mountain. I’m always gonna wanna make it move. Always gonna be an uphill battle, sometimes I’m gonna have to lose. Ain’t about how fast I get there, ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side. It’s the climb.” This means a large amount to me because it hits home what I feel about senior year. My senior year is not about the few hours for the graduation ceremony, or the piece of paper that I walk away with. It is about the people I will be sitting inside the gym with, and the memories that we will have of each other. It is about the years, and hardships we have faced together. The jokes we have, the tears we have shed, and the strength we have gained together. Miley said it best, it is not about what happens on May 11, but the months, weeks, and days building up to graduation. I have faced countless problems during my senior year, but I have worked my way through them. I have done it with a smile, because I know that this is the end of my senior

I enjoy listening to this song anyways as it is in my native language and one of my top childhood songs. The song is about a couple who is in love with each other but when the guy has to leave for the US, they broke up. He later returns and the love is still there. This is a very cute story and I love singing the lyrics that describes his feelings for her as he was away. If I broke up and get back together with my boyfriend, I would want this to be our scenario, that we broke up and got back together because of distance or circumstances, not because we wanted this. I also love how there are english lyrics sung with deep emotion in the song: “I will be back for you.” The music video for the song is also very heartwarming and brings a smile to my face whenever I think of it. If I got back together with my ex, I could listen to this song to remind me of my feelings for him. This song is a great song that evokes strong emotions from me and makes me think about love and how strong it is to overcome lots.…

The breakfast club has one of the most unique and memorable soundtracks of all time. Something that made the movie gave it such a memorable track and the movies “theme song”, "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by the band Simple minds. Something that the movie did that not none to many movies had done at that point. They used this song twice, once at the beginning at once at the end. The two times this song is played in this movie, each function is shown. It shows genre because the movie was release in 1985 and this is around the time new wave music (the song’s genre) became popular. It sets the mood both at the beginning and at the end of the movie. It sets mood at the beginning because of the tempo and rhythm makes…

Some common themes that Chrysanthemum deals with are overcoming differences, bullying in school, and self-esteem issues. This picture book is easy for children to relate to because they have all either felt these different feelings. The emotional themes I want to discuss about this book are excited and loneliness. With a new environment, new people and friends, a lot of the times students will become lonely because they do not feel like they fit in or they do not know how to socialize with their friends. In my observation, there is a student name Ryan and he feels very lonely everyday because he does not know how to talk to his friends in his table because he feels shy. He would not talk to anyone during dancing time, work time, lunch and snack…

For my song I picked Garth Brooks “The River.” I consider this song to be very meaningful. This song is about chasing your dreams and never giving up on what you believe in, reminding us that life is shorter than we think and if we just stand on the shore watching the river go by, then life will be gone before we know it. Garth Brooks uses a lot of psychological concepts in this song, such as, Attitude, Affect, Motivation, Optimism, and Behavior. Garth Brooks says, “A dream is like a river.” A dream changes, just like a river changes. As life changes, the river can be calm then strong then calm again, so our path in life change. Garth Brooks says that “He will sail his vessel until the river runs dry.” To me this mean no matter what life throws…

“Talking shit about a pretty sunset,” is a song that portrays an overall apathetic outlook on life. The listener can clearly hear the discontent expressed in the words sung and the execution in the music. Thoughts of suicide, phobia of commitment, lack and gain of motivation, fixation and illusions of a better life are all present. Through the complex breaks and climax of the song, tells an emotional story of revelation, realization and self-actualization.…

There are wires growing out of everyone’s ears. That is, to listen to music. Music is an infinite source, whether that source is for lifting up spirits, expressing underlying pain and anger, or just merely a distraction. Music from well-developed Broadway musicals to a series of beats at a party, it is something we all have done: listen to music. Some even say that music defines us but it that really true? Is our music the soundtrack of who we each are? Do what we listen to support our core values in life? To answer this I sought out the one song I listened to most, “This Kiss” by Alex Days and Carrie Hope Fletcher, and interpreted its lyrics to see if it matched with my core values of commitment, happiness, and love.…

I chose the song Whatever it Takes by Imagine Dragons to describe my 8th-grade career because it describes my experiences in both the specific lyrics and the overall message of the song. The overall message of the song is that hard work is required to do well in life. This certainly describes my 8th-grade career, as it has taken a large amount of effort in order to do well in all my classes, while still balancing a social life. The overall message of this song relates to my 8th-grade career because maintaining satisfactory grades and doing well in my classes has taken a large amount of hard work and effort, and it has also required my unflagging attention.…

Graduation was one of my of my most memorable moments in my life, it’s like a new start to my future. We all come to think college is the next step to our pathway and we all mainly do it for a better future, but most importantly to make our parents and family proud, and to me it seems like education is your number one priority and with out it who can you become? My grandparents were my biggest reason to keep pushing forward and accomplish all my hard work I put into my education. My grandparents get serious when it comes to school and they’ve always said they liked to see each and one of there grandchildren graduate. I grew up with my grandparents and we lived under the same roof at a point in time and I learned so much from them and I felt our bond got a lot stronger.…
