Theme Of Perseverance
In the story so far, I think that the theme is perseverance. The story shows how Salva, and Nya represent perseverance. Both characters express perseverance throughout the book at some point. They each never give up during the text. Salva and Nya persevere during each chapter.

In the story Nya persevered by still going on her trip to the pond, even though she was injured. “ There it was, a big thorn that had been broken off right in the middle of her heel. She was in a lot of pain but still kept on walking. She was very determined to finish the trip. Salva had also persevered in the story.

Salva, as well as Nya, persevered throughout the story. “ As Salva watched, one of the men aimed his gun at Uncle. Three shots rang out Then the men

Like any story, my theme connects to real life. This theme is connected by showing that people who are selfless, content, and courageous are good people that are rewarded for their actions with a prize or just a feeling of doing what is right. In order to advance in life, you have to be a good person. When people are greedy, evil, and cruel, they are punished for their wrong doings. The people who are evil receive consequences for their actions. In life, you don’t have to go out of your way to be good, but the people who go out of their way to be evil don't get anywhere, as shown in this…

Probably the most important theme in the entire novel is that of courage, since it because of her determination and boldness that Parvana is able to deal with the challenges she faces. It is hard to believe that the naïve eleven year old of the opening chapters becomes the courageous young adult that her family must rely on. This courage is first evident when Parvana decides to disguise herself as a boy and states,…

The theme which according to Clugston, R.W. is associated with an idea that lies behind a literary work. (Clugston, R.W. 2010). In my opinion the theme in this story blatantly relates to the characters old age and her fear of death. In my observation of this reading about her trying to make it to and from her destination, visualizing her thoughts and actions throughout the story made me feel as if she was weary of what she had to and would face by traveling this path being that is a motif of death, not knowing if she would make it back home with all the signs of death in her path. I also believe that this journey helped her to remember her grandson and get closer concerning his death.…
