In the famous movie Remember the Titans, the captain of the T.C. Williams football team stated, "attitude reflects altitude". When your attitude is positive you can fly higher than the sky, but if your attitude is negative then you can fall deep into the ocean. It has been said that a positive attitude is the key to success in life, and I just so happen to agree. Positivity can make you more motivated. A good leader must demonstrate the qualities that they want to see in their employees. For example at organizations like Starbucks and McDonalds the order takers are always friendly and greet you with a smile. This is a part of their customer focus, so a leader must be able to demonstrate these same qualities. If you saw your leader being rude or mean to customers yet they are always telling you to be nice this would be seen as a contradiction. Then you as the employee could lose respect for the leader because they are not effectively demonstrating what they want to be done. An effective leader must be able to lead by…

One’s attitude is the most important factor of survival. A positive attitude has a very strong influence on the mentality and motivation necessary for setting goals in life. By setting any type of commitment or goal, this will allow characteristics such as motivation and determination to flourish when confronted with petty conflicts. Though when having the proper outlook on life, this will allow anyone to focus more on their destination of getting a certain job, obtaining their dream house or simply making a good impression. According to Henry Ford, “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.” Meaning one must defeat their negative thoughts and adapt to the positive and optimistic "can do attitude,” or they will be consumed with hopelessness as a result.…

The Difference Maker is a self-help book that teaches you how to make your attitude an asset. John C. Maxwell, the book's author, uses a realistic approach in that he makes no claim that one's attitude is all powerful. A positive attitude will not substitute for personal growth nor will it stay good automatically. Maxwell also talks about what attitude can do for you. Ironically, all the things that cannot be changed by your attitude are still aided by it. Competence makes a good example. A good attitude helps the learning process. Individuals with positive…

Positive attitude has many benefits. One of the examples is a team working on a complex project having critical deadlines. The team lead’s responsibility is to influence his team members in a positive way. If the team lead has a negative attitude towards the project, like the time span is not enough to complete the project. This attitude dampens the motivation and the team already believes that they will not be able to achieve the goal. Conversely, when the team lead has a positive attitude, then he or she can motivate the team members to at least start working on the project. This greatly increases the productivity of the team as a whole. If the team fails to finish the project on or before time, it would at least have something done towards it rather than just worrying about the deadlines. The team will have either some good experiences through this or would be considered for giving another chance to complete the project. Thus, having the positive attitude towards work simply helps one to have it done in a better manner.…
