Family
Wilbur and Orville Wright had a big family. Their dad was Milton Wright and their mom was Susan Catherine Koerner Wright. Their oldest brother was named Reuchlin. Then it was Lorin, Wilbur, and Orville. The youngest one was named Katie. They also had a grandpa. Their dad was a traveling preacher and a bishop. He would travel everywhere and bring back little things from his trip. One time he brought back a small model helicopter. Their mom was a stay-at-home mom. She took after her dad which was Wilbur and Orville’s grandpa. She would make sleds, and mend a lot of broken items around the house. Reuchlin was the oldest of the children. He would go to the grocery store to work while Wilbur and Orville stayed home. While he was working at the grocery store, he found out that the manager liked him very much and paid him quite a lot of money. The second oldest,

They were both very adventurous. They loved to play in the woods together. They once made their own pea shooters and sold them to neighborhood children . They only made a little money, but they still made some. Once, Orville and his friends pelted Wilbur using the pea shooters! Orville knew it was coming and soon fought them off.
*Indians and Crows One time the boys went with their friends and started playing “Indians”. While they were playing, they met real Indians. The Indians challenged Wilbur to hit a crow out of the sky with a rock. Wilbur threw the rock and hit the crow right out of the sky! The Indians wanted him to come back to their camp. Wilbur didn’t know that the crow he had shot out of the sky belonged to someone. The owner was a little girl and when her dad found out, he was not happy at all. He said that Wilbur would have to pay him back five dollars which was a LOT back then. Then, the Indian brought his own crow to the little girl. Wilbur didn’t have to pay the five dollars
