The Book review of “The Souls of Black Folk” by Du-Bios In the book named as “The Souls of Black Folk”, the author Du-Bios mainly talked about the problems faced to African-Americans that lived in United States, and he included the problems faced to all people of color indirectly. Moreover, the book is written in the form of collection of his essays. The book was written in 1903, and at that time the facing problem to black people was nowadays called racism. He even stated problems that people face because of their skin color. Also, he stated that the African-Americans are remnants of black slaves in America, also they are Americans. African and American, this two big totally different identities cannot be merged with each other. But the identity of African black people always goes on the first place, and the American identity goes on the second.
