Where does the story take place?
In Ireland.

How do the mum and dad react when Sharon tells about her pregnancy?
The dad freaks out, while her mum is just like: “Oh, okay”. Does Sharon want an abortion?
No.

How far is she in her pregnancy?
16 weeks. What is the mother worried about?
The neighbors. Girls question: Do you talk about boys like Sharon and her girlfriends?
No, not really like that. How is the family's language?
They curse a lot. It’s very Irish, and can be hard to understand for a non-Irish person. Has her parents talked to Sharon about contraception?
No, I don’t think they have. What is the Danish word for snapper?
‘En smutter’.
How do they celebrate the brother's homecoming?
They hang up a banner, played music and had flags. Why does Mr. Burgess leave home?
He is embarrassed and he loves Sharon, but she doesn’t love him. What does he write to his wife?

He was never there, when his own kids were born.

Do women give birth the same way today as in the movie?
Kind of.

What does the dad do after the birth?
Run out of the hospital, goes to the nearest beer, orders a Guinness and call home to tell the family, that Sharon got a healthy girl.

Why will Sharon name the girl Georgina?
