The Smell of Heavenly
The Smell of Heavenly
The sense of smell can be a powerful sense. Just one sniff of a scent of perfume or a flower or anything can take me back to a memory or remind me of when I went to vacation with my friends to California. My favorite sense is my perfume that is called Heavenly by Victoria Secret. It just reminds me of so many good times that I have had with all my friends. This perfume I bought before we left on vacation, not knowing it would become my absolute favorite. The sense of Heavenly smells like the breeze at the beach coming off of the ocean. The smell is so fresh with a little touch of salt and water all mixed together. It smells strong at first for a few seconds, but then after a few seconds it blends in with my clothing and skin, so the smell is not as strong as it was when I put it on. Once I put Heavenly on, I close my eyes as I remember me being with all my friends lying on the beach all-day and laughing all night. Everyone would just enjoy being together and having a good time. As soon as the sense hits my nose I can see my friends laughing and smiling and I think of all the stupid things we did during senior week. It is amazing how one bottle of perfume can bring up so many happy memories. Sometimes I just get the bottle out when I miss my friends back home and spray a little bit of it in my room, so that I can remember them. I love going to California to go to the beach and hang out with my friends. Since Heavenly reminds me of all of these things put together it is only natural for me to love the perfume. When I put the perfume on it makes me think of when I was lying on the beach with my friends and they got the idea to throw me into the ocean. I freaked out, because I am really scared of the ocean. I’ve never been into the ocean and for it to be my first time going it was a little scary, because it was ginormous and loud. I mean I love the beach, but I hate the salty water and taste. I just like how pretty everything looks and smells. My friends laughed so hard because they said they never saw me run as fast as I did to get out of the ocean. I did not think it was funny at that moment, but later on I did find humor in it. So when I spray the perfume my mind automatically goes back to my friends throwing me into the ocean and it puts a smile on my face. I think it’s hard to describe how something smells and I often compare a smell to the way it makes me feel. Heavenly will always be one of my favorite senses and it will always remind me of the time I went to California for my senior year with all of my friends. In a way I guess the smell is kind of comforting to me and hopefully Victoria Secret will never stop selling it, or I probably will never have the same smell as I did with Heavenly. Heavenly has it’s own uniqueness and it brings back all the good memories with my friends in California. I will always remember my senior vacation of 2012, because of the wonderful memories. Smell is very important to me because everything has its own specific smell and I could not image the world without the sense of smell.

However, while the effects of these scents in the form of aromatherapy and essential oil candles have not been scientifically proven, there is a lot of evidence to suggest otherwise. Use of certain scents is said to have an effect directly on the human brain, by entering the body through scent receptors in the nose and mouth and then affecting the limbic system of the brain. They also can have a psychological effect. If a person always uses certain scented essential oil candles when they are relaxed in a bath, they will gradually associate that scent with a sensation of calm and relaxation. From that point onwards, it will induce the feeling of relaxation…

This is seen by attempting to appeal to women that seek a perfume with traditionally feminine traits like beauty, sophistication, elegance, and gentleness. To conclude, I firmly believe that flowering plants are a fundamental component in portraying the characteristics and appeal of the romance fragrance. Images of flowers remind readers of the pleasant scents and the stimulating aesthetics they offer our world and I wouldn’t consider a non-flower image to be as…

We stroll on the beach, and my feet sink into the soft sand. I stroll along, and the grainy, slick, brown sugar sand pulls my bare feet under and leaves a perfect imprint. I pick up a handful and sift it from my palm slowly, feeling the grittiness of sand with each finger. The view down the beach of the white, but slightly brown sand was enough to make my knees go weak. The sand is such a sensational feeling between my toes and a beautiful view against the crystal blue water.…

You can feel the soft sand with your bare feet as you're going down the long warm sand dune. You can feel the sun baking your skin slowly like your inside an oven, when you're laying flat on a blanket on the beach, you can feel the wind blowing in your hair as you stand on the lookout. You can feel the force of the hard rhythmic waves as they push you back to shore and then you fell the sharp shells and rough rocks as you step out of the water. If you walk on the beach you will smell the scent of fish and seaweed and when you walk into the woods you will smell the pungent scent that will remind you of dog waste, you will also smell a strong smell of grass after being mowed and if you walk back to camp you will smell the sweet scent of mosquito spray, the smell of rice and chicken and herbs. You will taste the fresh air at camp and the seaweed tasting beach water , the sweetness of chocolate and marshmallow after being cooked in the fire, the saltiness of the many bags of chips you will eat, the spice of the biryani, the sourness of the sugar sticks and skittles and if you’re lucky you will taste the mud of…
