The Sidewalk Bleeding Research Paper
A young teenager, who was a member of a gang group entitled The Royals, was stabbed to death last night at around 11:30pm in an alley. This boy was announced dead at one past midnight by a cop; however the exact time of death has not been recorded. Sadly, he was found with only a knife cut below his rib cage and nothing else.
Fortunately, the officials have spilled some information of who might be the suspects. They have come to the conclusion that it must have been some of the members of another well known gang group, The Guardians. It has been said that the rivalry against each other is the main reason for this devastating event. Witnesses have also been identified as Laura, his girlfriend and a couple: Freddie and Angela. On June the 11th, 1989, the body of a boy in his late teens was discovered lying on a bench in Hill Park, in the small town of Lenore, Virginia. He had been killed by several stab wounds across his chest and neck. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans, and white tennis shoes. The backpack he was wearing contained only a few granola bars, some bottled water, and a notebook. Most of the notebook was written in an unidentified shorthand, probably only legible to its owner. The boy had no form of ID on him, and nobody came to claim the body. He became known as “the “Hill Park boy” and he remains unidentified to this day.…

No one should judge a book by its cover, “On the Sidewalk, Bleeding” and “Lamb to the Slaughter” both feature this theme and how both characters were stereotyped and judged. Andy in “On the Sidewalk, Bleeding” was judged on the fact that he was in a gang without knowing his true personality. In “Lamb to the Slaughter” Mary seemed like a innocent wife to the detectives and they thought she was incapable of killing her husband. Mary and Andy were both underestimated by people, they should have not been stereotyped by their appearance. Everybody needs to get to know someone before judging them right away, “On the Sidewalk, Bleeding” and “Lamb to the Slaughter” teach the reader that you do not want to judge someone by their outer appearance.…
