Introduction

Foxconn Technology Group was founded in 1974, under China's Taiwan's Hon Hai Group. A motherboard shipment currently is the second highest in the world. Foxconn Technology Group is the world's 3C (computers, communications, consumer electronics) in the largest foundry field with the fastest growing and the highest rated international group evaluation of the U.S. Fortune magazine named the world's best reputation for the benchmark 15-strong e-business and the company becomes the only world's sustained company to rank by Business Week (Business Week) technology hundred (IT100) top ten of the company in the past five years! Now the total market value of the Group has more than 70 billion U.S. dollars, distribution across Europe, America and Asia three continents, the company employs more than 70 million people, forming the "two Research & Develop, design and manufacture of the three areas, the global assembly of delivery" of the industrial layout.1

Task 1: (LO1 a)
Analyze the structure of Google and Foxconn as well as its functions and effectiveness in delivering results and achievement.
Compare and contrast different organizational structure and culture between the one these two giant corporations with a presentation of corporate structure and culture shift (including a chart) to adapt to the fast changing market. (WangJiarui)

The information about Google: According to Fortune and All Business magazines, Google is the fourth-most admired company in the United States.The main reason for this employee admiration is Google's cross-functional organizational structure, which the company maintains though stellar leadership and innovative management techniques. Google's management helps their employees meet the objectives that the employees set for themselves.The company sees its managers as leaders who facilitate inspiration and empower employees.
