The Sanctified Christians Life
"Look at the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by strong winds, are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot desires. So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!" (James 3:4-5)

A sanctified heard is congnescent in understanding the importance of the soul. The soul is the main target of battle. If you stay in sin, and do not put yourself back into fellowship, then you are not letting God have your soul. If your wish is to keep Satan away from your soul, then it is of vital importance that you stay in fellowship with the Lord.

The sanctified heart also controls the tongue, and the tongue can either be a vessel of evil, or a vessel of good. If you stay in fellowship, and study God s Word, then your tongue will be a vessel of good. If you do NOT stay in fellowship, and do NOT study, your tongue can be a destructive tool of Satan, full of deceit and un-godliness. So watch carefully what comes from your mouth. For one doesn t realize how powerful the tongue can be. For God can hear your live thoughts, but Satan cannot. Satan waits and listens to every one of your words.

Your best defense for your soul and tongue, is the Whole Armor of God, which is the Truth, obtained and sustained through study. Truth gives us detrimental insight, and positive volition towards God, and in return will have a very positive effect on our daily lives. It is very important to know that at birth we become alive as a human being, but dead as a Spirit. Physical life goes into your God-created home, the Soul. God made man, and blew into him the breath of life. The Old Sinful Nature is NOT a part of that home.

Sin, Evil and Good make up the Old Sinful Nature. The Old Sin nature is the sovereign ruler. We must overcome this sovereign ruling nature in order to grow closer to God. Once again, and as always, the answer to get rid of that

Spiritual Gifts are granted by the Holy Spirit as He wills. There are many gifts that are all granted by the same Spirit to benefit the body of Christ (1 Cor. 2:4, 7). However, when referring to either the Gifts or Fruits of the Spirit, consideration is needed to avoid confusing their meanings (Towns, p. 306). In addition, the gift of tongues and its relation to the baptism of the Spirit are highly debated upon. This essay will discuss biblical proofs and the questions surrounding these gifts, plus reveal the “perfect” reward in the end.…

Tom looked up to his master, and answered, “Mas’r, if you was sick, or in trouble, or dying, and I could save ye, I’d give ye my heart’s blood; and, if taking every drop of blood in this poor old body would save your precious soul, I’d give ‘em freely, as the Lord gave his for me. O, Mas’r! don’t bring this great sin on your soul! It will hurt you more than ‘t will me! Do the worst you can, my troubles’ll be over soon; but, if ye don’t repent, yours won’t never end.” (pg. 358)…

We battle within ourselves with our sinful wants and desires and following the Lord. Paul talks about the war that occurs in the members of his body (Romans 7:21-23). Romans (3:9-20) also speak about how no one is righteous. Paul continues by saying “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This continues to prove that we have a sinful nature. We are not stuck in our sinful ways. Paul also speaks about our sinful nature does not control us but that the Spirit does as long as the Spirit of God lives in us (Romans 8:9). You also need the Spirit of Christ in order to belong to Christ (Romans 8:9). Even though we are born with a sinful nature and fall short of God’s glory we also have God’s grace by having the Spirit of God in us as long as we accept Christ…

It is not everyone, however, who has this knowledge. Since some have become so accustomed to idols until now, they still think of the food they eat as food offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. “Food will not bring us close to God.” (1 Corinthians 8.7-8)…

Christians on the other hand could take the word ‘soul’ and break it down into how does the soul communicate, experience emotion, reason and interact on a personal level with God. In Matthew 22:37 it says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Christians look at the whole physical person and not the personal traits of humans.…

Jonathan Edwards’ sermon titled “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” set out to persuade followers of God, differing in age, gender and social status to renounce their sinful ways and surrender to the will of God, which resonates through this skillfully crafted speech utilizing the power of vivid description and metaphors. Edwards the master of intense imagery utilizes metaphors in his sermon quite artfully and the first description, among several others which captured my attention says “The glittering sword is whet, and held over them, and the pit hath opened its mouth under them”. (1) Therefore, you sinners be warned as your wicked ways do not escape the sight of God. In this manner Edwards is warning people to change their ways towards the just since the evil deeds are…
