The Same Team
The debate that girls and boys should be playing on the same team has gone on for quite a while. Boys think girls cant do most of their physical activities. On the other side girls think boys cant do most of their physical activities. This debate has gone on for such a long time, now it is just silly. Each side has their own opinions, but they can never agree with each other. I think girls and boys should be able to play on the same team, but we should give them that decision if they want to or not. What I am trying to say is that we should let them decide if they want to play on the same team with boys and girls. It's not us to decide if they want to or not. Their are many girls that are better then boys in physical sports such as baseball or basketball or even football. People, think the reason the guys don't want the girls on their team or the girls don't want the guys on their team is because they think one is better then the other. Yet the other person doesn't want them to prove it. Some people are given talents to do great things in sports but some people just wont allow them to show it. This is where the Olympics come in. In the Olympics men and women play on the same team and do the same sports with each other. I think the people that actually play the sports should decide if they want to play on the same team or not.

As soon as the debate started on girls and boys not being on the same team no one could agree with each other. I think the kids should decide if they want to be on each others team playing the same game. I don't know why the adults would try and take over in this kind of situation. The kids could easily handle this by a simple vote of hand in each class. Then at the end of the day tally the votes to decide yes or no. I think the kids should be able to decide this because they are the ones who are playing the game not the adults. When the adult decides something for a child the child most of the time doesn't like what the adult has

An issue that I have always been concerned with is how much attention male sports get, while female sports get pushed aside. Males and females put forth the same amount of effort and the same amount of hard work towards the sports they play, and in return males dominate the limelight. Arguments opposing this show that males are obviously better athletes than females. According to Mariah Burton Nelson, controversial activist and author, football, baseball and other manly sports in the United States are not games, but a culture which offer a pre-civil rights world where white men, as owners, coaches and umpires, still rule. In the manly sports, men learn to think about and talk about women in contempt. It is common practice for boys to be belittled as "wusses" or worse if they are not tough or brutal enough or willing to deny their own pain or the pain of others.…

Co-ed sports should be allowed. The teams would have the best of both genders on one team, there would be more competition to make the team, and there would be better opponents to make for better games. All in all, co-ed sports would benefit both boys and girls and would have more positives than…

Do you ever wonder to yourself why some sports, like softball, aren’t in the Olympics? Well, the reason why softball isn’t in the Olympics is because of the fact if it was, the Olympics would be too big and they think the U.S is too good at it... Personally, I think that softball should be in the Olympics because women sports should be more recognized. The reasons softball should be in the Olympics are, girls like me dream about it, the US is good at it, and it helps women live out their dreams and help their futures.…

I support the proposal that girls should be allowed to play on boys’ sports teams when there isn’t a girls’ team available. Girls, if their skill level is equivalent to that of the boys on the team, should be given the opportunity to participate in the sport of their choosing. By doing so, a girl has the ability to showcase her talent, learn to associate and work with the other gender, and help eliminate many stereotypes that run rampant through society today.…

“School should be about learning, not sports”. Kids now a days love to play sports, but don’t like to learn. Learning, and get an education this is a very important thing in life you need it to have a good job so that you can have a family and support them. So I feel in school you must have good grades in order to play any type of sport, and if you do not then you should not be playing. A couple reasons I feel like this is for starters kids pay more attention to sports then they do in class. This is not how this should be. Kids should love to learn something new every day at school, but in some school that’s not the case. Kids need to learn.…

The reason why i think that kids should not be playing sports, is because one thing is that Most children would rather play on a losing team than sit on the bench of a winning team From the article “More Kids Are Suffering Sports Injuries”. What many people don’t see is that people are dieing because of the sports, that they do and most of these sports can cause deaths in them or even breaking something in there body. And also one reason why this is not a good thing for people to do, is because they might hurt himself and get short time memory loss so that is not a good thing for them that have sports. When they do sports and many people that play sports don't even finish their school work and that's what gets them kicked out of the team. What…

Sports are very crucial and take part of a vast roll in people’s life. To some it is a stress reliever, fun game, or their entire life but sometimes there are situations that make you step back to evaluate what is actually going on. In a female athlete’s opinion male sports get more than what their sport or any other female sport would get but in a male competitor’s assumption is that they are both given the opportunity to do the same things especially with the Title IX that was put in place in 1972 stating that, “no matter what the sex is of someone, they can not be excluded from, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discriminate participating in any educational program or activity. Each physical activity is given money from the school, fundraises, and has a set fee at the start of each season…

More than half of the human population has been involved in a sports team. Most likely, sports either have a boys or girls team or rarely have a coed team. Stereotypically, people believe that men are better at playing sports due to their strength, brains, and speed. Often, society states that women should not be allowed to interact in sports related activities such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, etc. Luckily, society began to accept women to play sports with men or along side them.…

Being a student athlete should be a privilege, a reward; it should always come second, after the students education. It seems that student athletes get special treatments, getting away with having low grades, having an extended time to do assignments, or even being excused from them. There needs to be a more strict policy in order to be on a high school sports team and to play in games. After all, high schools do not require students to participate in team or individual sports.…

Activities and sports in schools is a great way for students to be involved, and to be active. I have done research and there hasn’t been one article I found on why sports shouldn’t be in schools. Having athletic programs and activities in schools are very helpful for students health, it develops team work, helps develop discipline and also perfection. School administrators, and parents, generally support high school activity programs because of the positive effect these activities appear to have on students of both genders. (Braddock P.1)…
