In the book The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the character James Gatz, also known as Gatsby plays a very important role in the book. Throughout the story he reveals his true self to someone he barely knows and makes a friendship and new experiences after being hidden for a while. Gatsby in the beginning of the book was unnoticed. No one really knew who he was as a person or if he was alive or dead, but that’s what makes him so spontaneous.
