CHANGING LIFE
I was born in the business family. Our house located in the First district. That was the main district in Sai Gon city. There were five members in my family and we live together about several years. My older brother and I shared a room next to my oldest room. I stayed with my family very happy until my mother decided me to study abroad. There were many changes in my life when I went to the US.
That was a normal day as other days. I just woke up, watched my face and wore clothes to hang out. When I went downstairs; I met mother. She said: “Where do you go?”. I said “I want to hang out with my friends”. “hold on” she said; and she gave me a letter. I did not know what is it and she said “let’s go interview with this”. I felt surprise and happy with this news. I talked with my friends about this so they felt surprise too. One week later, I went to consulate USA to interview. Luckily, I passed and took the visa after a few days. My parents repaired anything for me and I was excited about this. At the first days in the US, I look anything strange with me. The airport was bigger than my airport. I tried hard to find the way out when I changed a flight. I came to US at the midnight. When I took my luggage and I look around to find my cousin. There were many people in this place and a few people like Asian. At this time, a lady came near me and asked: “are you Trung?”. I recognize the voice in phone and said: “yes”. She was my cousin and drove me to her house.
When I was at her house, I did felt comfortable like my house. In fact, That was the way which the people lived. I had to do anything such as: washing, cooking, leaning room,… These never did in my life when I lived with my parents. I met a lot of difficult things. Although I had to study a lot of new things, I felt improve in my life.
I spent almost a year in the US and studied many things. My life was changed a lot, but it was a benefit

The United States Constitution was created on September 17, 1787 as the supreme law of the land. This document outlines the ten amendments which guarantee certain rights that American citizens will always have. One of these freedoms and possibly the most important is the right to keep and bear arms. As written in the Constitution, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” (U.S. Constitution). Whatever the purpose these guns are meant to serve it is clear that the right to own them cannot be impaired.…

The provision of the English Bill of Rights that guaranteed the right to bear arms and required parliamentary consent to have a standing army was so important because it provided citizens with some form of defense, support, and protection. The right to bear arms was important because it allowed every citizen to protect themselves against harm legally, as opposed to only having a select few citizens that were guaranteed this right like it was before this provision. It was also important for consent from parliament in order to have a standing army because it would provide protection whenever a standing army was in place, but would still allow limitations on when the country would have one. This could ultimately help the country save money by…

In 1990, an article titled, "The Right to Bear Arms" was published in Parade Magazine. The article, written by former Chief Justice of the United States (1969-86), Warren E. Burger addressed issues on the second amendment. In this article, he examines the needs of society to have guns when the Bill of Rights was drafted versus modern day society, using logic and history to appeal to his audience. While not necessarily taking a standpoint against the second amendment's right given to bear arms, he criticizes the regulations on handguns, suggesting there should be more in place in order for levels of violence to decrease.…

Every Time there is a violent crime involving guns the media and public leaders blame guns and not the person accused of committing the crime FBI conducted an experiment and people were likely to be killed by a handheld object five times more than a rifle. Banning guns will affect only the law abiding citizens not criminals. Criminals don't follow the law that's why they are called criminals. If you're going to outlaw guns then might as well ban everything on market that can potentially hurt people. Gun laws in the U.S. should not be restricted because…

It has often been seen throughout history that when the United States government impedes on the rights of civilians, people tend to feel as though they are being stripped of their basic rights to life, liberty, and property. These basic rights are inalienable by law, according to the Declaration of Independence, and the government must tread lightly when making decisions in correspondence to them. In recent years laws and bills have been passed by legislation in regards to gun control with the intent of making the U.S. a safer place for all citizens who reside within its borders. However, the right to bear arms is protected by the second amendment and is highly favored by many American citizens making it a highly controversial topic. In the…

As Americans we have civil liberties. Civil liberties are basic rights and freedoms that are guaranteed to American citizens (Thompson). For example, as Americans one of our civil liberties is to keep and bear arms. In our society, this civil liberty has become an issue due to several incidents involving firearms. Therefore, a bill has been constructed threatening our right to bear arms. I feel that as Americans we have many reasons that we should have this civil liberty is because the right to bear arms involved in the second and fourth amendments. The second amendment clearly states “a well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right if the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. If our government can take away our rights like it’s nothing, then what else can they take from us? We have many rights as Americans. The right to bear arms is one of the biggest. Some of the reasons why we shouldn’t have guns banned are second and fourth amendments, hunting, they will not end deaths, and how there are many other reasons of death that we should be worried about. Although these are just among the few that I have mentioned there are plenty more reasons why Americans should be able to have guns in our nation.…

Guns are used 2.5 million times a year in self defense. Armed citizens kill more criminals than police do. They shoot and kill twice as many in a year then they do. Which is something cool to know about concealed carry. Although, the second amendment of the US constitution allows citizens to bear arms, adults should have the right to concealed carry, because criminals are less likely to attack someone that might have a gun, criminals carry concealed carry regardless of legality, and carrying a concealed weapon could help stop all of the shooting sprees.…

The second amendment, the right to bear arms, was adopted on December 15, 1791. In that day in age, guns were not as powerful as they have become, and many who created the Bill of Rights could not have predicted the future. If the constitution, or Bill of Rights, had been written with the knowledge of today’s weapons the Second Amendment would be different. Now in the 21st century there have been many cases where the Second Amendment has been brought into question. These cases have brought questions that deal with the amendment having been written for civilians, but also the worry of the advancements that have been made in weaponry since the time the Second Amendment was written.…

Gun Safety has been a big topic that people are speaking of all the time. The Second Amendment says that citizens have the right to bear arms. That amendment was created for militias as America had become free and they didn’t want any surprise attacks from Britain incase they tried to take America back, now America and Britain are close allies. Everyday on the news there’s always a shooting and maybe it’s because guns are easy to access. I do not think that civilians need guns. Now some might argue that the police are corrupt and that they don’t want to rely on the police to do something that they can handle but that is their job. If guns are banned than their needs to be higher protection against smuggling as criminals will obviously not…

Bang, bang bang! I heard gun shots. It came from the house across the street. Apparently someone broke into the house and the robber had a gun and was ready to fire, but because of gun rights my neighbor had a gun also and he was able to protect his family and himself. "Imagined what would of happened if we didn't have that right and I didn't have a gun?" he told me. I told him that that was true. Gun rights are a good thing. It can protect us. Also if there weren't any gun rights what would we do with all the guns, we wouldn't be able to get rid of them all. If we didn't have gun rights our rights are being violated.…

Allowing more people to have the right to carry a concealed weapon will decrease crimes. By having a variety of people being able to carry a concealed weapons permit meaning women/men, police officers, security guards. This includes having police officers in public schools to make the children safer. The right to bear arms decreases crimes, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. Personnel who open carry or concealed carry are less likely to be assaulted or robbed. The criminals are the only ones for gun control for their own protection. That way they can increase the robbery percentage. Protecting the 2nd amendment rights for all individuals to bear arms benefits Americans by decreasing violence, rape, and…
