The Rescue Mission Paper
The Rescue Mission (RM) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1887 to serve people in the central New York during wars, recession and the great depression. RM extended their wings to Syracuse to give hope to people, put an end to hunger and homelessness, transform lives and strengthen communities. The goal of this organization is to end hunger and homelessness in the community by helping and providing for one person at a time (Rescue Mission 2013).
It is important to have this type of organization within the community because it is a great source of support for the community at large. Amongst other services provided by Rescue Mission, they also provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for the less privileged and homeless people. Clothing,
