The study aimed to find out the Relationship of Having an Absentee Parents in the Study Habits of DLSHSI students. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions: 1.    What is the profile of the respondents when they are grouped according to age, gender, ordinal position, religion, family structure, family income and College course? 2.    What is the nature of absentee parenting?

3.    What are the study habits of the respondents?
4.    What are the significant differences in the study habits of the respondents when they are grouped according to age, gender, ordinal position, religion, family structures, family income and College course? 5. What is the relationship of having absentee parents and the study habits of students in DLSHSI? Hypothesis

1.     There are no significant differences in the study habits of the respondents when they are grouped according to age, gender, ordinal position, religion, family structures, family income and College course 2.    There is no relationship between having absentee parent/s and the study habits of the students of De LaSalle - Health Sciences Institute Methodology

The research design that was used in the study is Quantitative Correlational and 100 respondents were gathered. The questionnaires that were provided by the researchers are the main instruments of the research and the data were analyzed and interpreted with the used of frequency and percentage distribution, weighted mean and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Chi square, and T test. The frequency was used in the analysis of the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, ordinal position, religion, family structures, family income and College course. The weighted mean and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to the nature of absentee parenting and the T test in the study habits of the respondents. And Chi Square was used to know the relationship of having absentee parents and the study habits of students in DLSHSI. Findings

The following are the findings of the study:
1. The Profile of the respondents when they are grouped according to age, gender, ordinal position, religion, family structure, family income and College course 1.1 AGE. The data gathered shows that the highest percentage of the respondents which is seventy-three (73) percent, belongs to the age group of eighteen (18) to twenty-one (21) while the lowest percentage of the respondents, which is three (3) percent, belongs to ages twenty-five (25) to twenty-nine (29). 1.2 GENDER. The data shows that the majority of the respondent are female with a percentage of sixty-four (64) percent while males have a percentage of thirty-six (36) percent 1.3 ORDINAL POSITION. The results showed that the highest type of ordinal position is being the eldest which has a percentage of forty-two (42) percent and the lowest is the middle child with a percentage of twelve (12) percent. 1.4 RELIGION. The findings gathered as to religion gave a result that there are more catholic respondents which is eighty-three (83) percent while non-catholics are seventeen (17) percent. 1.5 FAMILY STRUCTURE. The results revealed that the highest percentage of the type of family structure is the extended family which has a percentage of forty-four (44) percent of the total respondents whereas the lowest percentage belongs to the no-parent household which has a percentage of four (4). 1.6 FAMILY INCOME.
