Since I was a child I was taken to the movie theater for fun. Because of all my experiences at the movie theater I have very high expectations for it and the movies that I go watch. The customers experience has a big impact on whether or not they will come back. Were the people nice? Was their popcorn good? Were their prices expensive? One of the biggest things customers complain about is if the movie does not live up to its previews. This is something you can hear instantly when the credits begin and the lights turn on. My recent experience to see The Purge lived up to these expectations, the service and food were excellent, the movie was engaging, and it lived up to its previews perfectly.

They are trying to get the man that the boy let into the house and tell them they can go harm free if they give him to them if not they will break the security system and kill them all, too . This is the part where you start to question what the family will do. The people break the barrier down after not receiving what they want and this begins the complete action of the movie begins. People start jumping out everywhere and people are being masaccared left and right. When the credits roll around you don’t even really know the movie is really over because the plot has so many twists that you don’t really know if it is going to end or not. A good preview to me is one that can engage you into the movie just with in that few minutes of it and doesn’t show the whole movie in the process. The previews for The Purge did just that. The previews show the son letting the man in, the creepy faces of the people trying to get him and it shows parts of when they are in the house. It combines the elements of creepiness, action, and fear within a three minute preview. The preview alone makes your blood pump and gets you excited. The end of the preview plays the common know song Amazing Grace in creepy manner draws you in wanting to see the movie. It does all of this without giving away the whole movie and that is what a truly amazing preview does. Without a good preview a movie will not succeed near as good. If the movie is truly amazing it will go above and beyond the expectation set in a person’s mind by the preview and The Purge does this
