“Nonetheless, for persons suffering from severe illness or injury, the desire to end life can be strong, and they have sometimes turned to doctors or loved ones for help in dying,” mentioned in the article “Right to Die”shows how their was a time when people looked towards doctors for help but not what really hurts these people as well as disgust them is how other people will go seek help to end or help end one's life. They are not okay with others saying because they are internally ill they should help in ending their lives. In the article “Pros and Cons of assisted suicide” says the following, “Advances in medicine will mean that we can cure diseases and disabilities that were once considered untreatable. So a terminally ill patient may, in the future, have a bearable quality of life,” this is why people that say assisted suicide by a physician is not okay because they say everyday there are new updates in technology that will help to cure the patient instead ending their lives there. People that think like this see ending a patient's life is absurd and is seen as the physician as losing faith and giving up on the patient's well being. In the article “Washington v. Glucksberg” supports this group of people says “Today, Washington law provides: "A person is guilty of promoting a suicide attempt when he knowingly causes or aids another person to attempt suicide." "Promoting a suicide attempt" is a felony, punishable by up to five years' imprisonment and up to a $10,000 fine.” back then this was the law and people against this procedure want to keep it this way.
