The grass is not always greener on the other side, which is the case for many immigrants migrating to America. Coming to America by Gibbs and Bankhead, A Hyphenated Identity by Harry Kitano, and as well as the essay Wandering Between Two Worlds, One Dead, the Other Powerless to be Born by Ramon S. Torrecilha are all detailed works of writing about the hardships immigrants had to overcome becoming a citizen or already being a citizen of the United States. I believe that many people have an overwhelming expectation about America and take the notion of it being a free state to literally. Countless of immigrants minds assume that once they move to America they will have the opportunity, the success, the romance, and when it is all said and done several immigrants just think of America as an utter disappointment.…

Those people are called “refugees.” A refugee doesn't simply leave their home, they additionally need to leave their nation of origin and discover assurance in another. In conclusion, even though all refugees are not terrible people and would cause harm to us in America, there are some that see our way of living and our beliefs wrong. They feel we should be killed or that we need to pay heavily for our wrongful act and going against their religion. Refugees of Islamic countries should not be able to cross U.S. borders due to the evil that resides within their country that could easily disguise themselves as an innocent refugee.…

When I first read about the title of this article, I was excited because it sounds like it was such a big issue in the western countries. That triggers me to respond to this paper. I like the title by CBN.com in his article [1] “Why are so many westerner converting to Islam?” , which states the reasons for the growth in Muslim population was due to recent immigration and the high birth rate of Muslims and not specifically due to conversion. Still, the number of those who converted to Islam is significant. It was clear that the writer trying to focus on the conversion to Islam that has grown rapidly nowadays because his findings were only based on his readings from articles such as Christianity Today and a book entitle "Neighbors: Muslims…

People migrate usually migrate from a rural to an urban area due to push and pull factors. People are deterred from living in rural areas as the work is more labour intensive, crops often fail and there are fewer amenities and services. People are attracted to the city as there is the chance of a better paid, less labour intensive job, there are more better quality amenities and there is the chance to eventually be accommodated in a better quality house. Migration can be such an unpredicatable trend, which can change an area experiencing underpopulation to an area with overpopulation. This is particularly the case with refugees who often flee in mass numbers from wars and conflict in the home nation. When mass numbers of people leave an area this will then experience underpopulation, so it is clear that because of migration, particularly in LEDC's it is hard to maintenance or stabilise a population in the long term.…
