Gun control is one of the most debatable topics in present day. Gun control refers to laws or policies that regulate the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession, modification, or use of firearms. These firearms include handguns, machine guns, rifles etc. People use these weapons for multiple reasons. Some use it for sport, for example: hunting or practicing at the gun range. Others buy it for protection while others use it for violence. Having a firearm requires responsibility. The person that wields a gun is responsible for his safety or others. If someone doesn’t have a firearm, there is a 100% chance that people will not be in danger of getting shot. This is a fact but other individuals believe that they have a right to have a gun because it is needed for protection against killers and local criminals. According to procon.org, '' The Second Amendment, which states: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." This is where the controversy of gun control begins and the pros and cons being explored. The pros of gun control includes the decrease of deaths, prevents a violent conflict it protects women from domestic abusers, it prevents mass murders and make the environment less dangerous. The cons of gun control includes: Gun control laws would prevent citizens from protecting themselves from foreign invaders, Gun control laws infringe upon the right to self-defense and deny people a sense of safety and education about guns and gun safety is needed to prevent accidental gun deaths than having gun
