According to Dustin Gouker, a writer at legalsportsreport.com, has ranked what states the daily fantasy companies are targeting the most at this time. Alabama and Georgia are at the top of this list as they are the closest to completing a real bill. Oregon is trying to pass a bill to call daily fantasy a game of chance. This could be a very alarming turn of events for Oregon, as they have not had previous talks about the subject. Just like in the election, what is important is the number of people in the state. Texas and Florida are the two major prizes, due to their massive population. Although according to Dustin, “If Texas does not pass a law this year, the legislature doesn’t convene again until 2019” (Gouker). This could become a total game changer for the daily fantasy industry. Daily fantasy is relying on this highly populated state to pass legislature, as it could cost them millions if it does not pass. Other states of concern but not to that magnitude include Iowa, Vermont, and Ohio

For you to be a consistent winner as a sports gambler, you must have a winning percentage above 52.38%. That’s why bookmakers in major cities skew the point spread on the area’s teams to their advantage. For example, if the Philadelphia Eagles are favored by 7 points in Las Vegas, many Philadelphia bookies will likely have them favored by 8 or 9 points because they know that more of their clients will bet on the hometown team.…
