The Problems Balancing School, Job, and Family
The Problems Balancing School, Job, and Family
Although this is something that a lot of people deal with balancing school, jobs, and family is a very difficult thing to do, and most people can’t handle it because of the stress and the constant back and forth, or at least that’s how I felt until I decided to take a different approach. Even though people do this all the time they never realize that to balance school, job, and family is a juggling act and just like a juggling act you have the balls in a constant rotation. If you stop or lose focus with one that could potentially mess up the others. Another way it’s like a juggling act is that it takes practice, which is what you should do, is practice to find the most convenient way for you to balance the three. The way I see it is that just because school, job, and family are separated doesn’t mean you need split into three different people, yea they’re different environments but you should have the same mind set of each. When you start to split yourself it starts to show in your performance. For me my school work was the hardest affected I started to half-ass my work and it very which is bad because whether the things that are being are the same things I’m writing about or not you should always give it 100% at all times or else it’ll be obvious that you’ll be slacking and balance will start to fall apart.
One of the most important I learned is that the problem with balancing things isn’t always an external problem sometimes the simplest thing is what gives the most trouble which is just accepting that there has to be a change in your lifestyle and working with it, or in the worst case scenario is that you would have to up something, for me it was just a little free time. You should realize that just because you give something up doesn’t mean it’s gone forever, because once you’ve learned to balance the things you need to you could always just and more things to the act.
Over the years I learned these little

Throughout America’s communities today, the quality of schooling varies from school to school. In the book Our Kids the author, Robert Putnam, believes that the increased gap between the wealthy and poor is what causes the differences in school quality and opportunities for the students (Putnam, 2015). Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing two of today’s youth, Josh and Erin. Their names have been changed for the sake of anonymity. Josh is a 17-year-old student at Shawnee Mission East High School, in Prairie Village, Kansas.…

Some of the things I learned were how to balance a checkbook, how to run a business, and how to budget my time and finances. Along with those real life skills a learned some metaphoric skills as well. I learned that you can’t just plant a seed and it will grow. To start with, you have to have a good foundation, which is the right type of soil. This all applies to life; you have to start with a good foundation if you want to succeed in life.…

All throughout our lives we have had to balance school with whatever important thing was going on at that time. In elementary school it was easy. We had to balance school and play time. In middle school it was a little more difficult because we had to balance school, our friends and the occasional relationship. High school was when it became a little tricky because it was when most of us got our first job. We then had to balance our job, friends, relationships, and school. We somehow managed to balance all of these things throughout our lives until college came along. I have recently found a few ways to help myself manage work and attend school. By focusing and setting my mind to what needs to be done, I have gotten things done faster. Focusing takes my mind away from problems and other things that I have going on in my life. One has to approach school as an added duty in one’s life. I must add an extra responsibility to my daily chores and activities. I am venturing into an activity I have not done any schooling for over 30 plus years now. School is something I must learn all over again. This changes our everyday routines to a point that we all must learn to work well with this new education. I am glad that in the past I had learned great tools to work with while working on these new responsibilities. Making it great while I was getting my A.S. degree in Florida Tech College out of Orlando, FL. Back then everything was paper and pencil or pen. Now I see an all new era of schooling and especially online. I force myself to get things done early, just like I do when I need to be somewhere for an appointment. I arrive much earlier than requested so I have time to sit and plan what will be going on at this appointment. I turn that into the same here with my online class. I don't like to be late for anything even dinner at home. Work on my college activities and required assignments take on the same aspect that I apply to my personal life. Both must be taken on with kid gloves. But as long as I keep in mind the goals created for school and stick to them I should have no trouble working out any obstacles that come my…

First, you must know what the problem is that you are facing and acknowledge it. Then, you must face the problem with an extreme effort. Once these steps are completed and only then, can you start finding a solution. The solution you find will give you a new view. Based upon this outcome, your newly acquired view must be integrated into your life pattern. Transformation on this level is often wanted but it does not come easy. These “before” and “after” states are the points that show us our personal growth. The most transformational learning experience in my life has been the discussion to go back to school. The fear of working, having a family, and making time to study and being successful in my studies presented a great problem to me. How to balance these three demanding dimensions of my life and still be the same person was puzzling. Through a trial and error process, I redefined my life pattern, taking bits of personal and casual time to maximize my effort of pursuing my goal. By putting all my focus through my spare time in my work week, it opened up extra time on my weekend to spend with my family. This new pattern I developed has brought harmony and balance to my…

As a Penn Foster student I stride myself on balancing both my work and personal demands whenever possible. I know it’s very important to make time for my school work, and I really do try my best to take time out to do my school work, but sometimes it can be very difficult, especially when I have two jobs and coming home tired and drained. Working with the elderly full time and then leave and go straight to my part time job working with kids and reaching home, then do house work and cook dinner then take a hour to do my students by then I’m sleeping and I hardly got any of my school work done, by then I’m so drained.…
