Pacing yourself while you think procrastinating with yourself or a daily routine you do throughout the week these could be know as habits. Though people always wonder if they have a choice in these habits they have. In The power of habit by Charles Duhigg there some examples of people choosing their habit. Coming to the end of the book Duhigg concludes with "your habits are what you choose them to be" (273). I agree that people can choose their habits only if you clear understanding what are habits and how do they run.
When considering how habit works one must understand a system known as the habit Loop. The habit Loop has three parts to it a cue, routine, and reward. The cue is anything that can trigger the habit, routine is the action or

    In “The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business” by Charles Duhigg, he thoroughly explains to us how habits work. In Chapter 3 of “The Power of Habit” Duhigg first introduces us to “The Golden Rule”. The rule states that you cannot adopt new behaviors, but slowly change the routines of those behaviors. Belief can also play a huge part in changing these behaviors. Without belief, people will not have the motivation they need to be able to change the routine of their behaviors.
