The Pigman By Paul Zindel
“The Pigman” by Paul Zindel is a story about two kids whose prank call went wrong and you should read!
“The Pigman takes place in a town, mainly at Mr. Pignati’s not so tidy house and sometimes at the zoo.”
Lorraine, a caring girl who looks after people and lives with her mom. John, a kind person but he smokes and drinks a lot. Mr Pignati, a very nice and caring person but he is sad often because of his dead wife.
Lorraine calls a random number with John because there friends have a prank call competition on who lasts the longest. Lorraine calls Mr. Pignati for a “donation” to their “charity”. John and Lorraine go to Mr Pignati’s house to collect the donation and they start to become friends with him. As time goes by they get to know Mr. Pignati

    Pignati was in the hospital for a few days because of his heart attack. While he was in the hospital, John and Lorraine threw a party at his house. It was all John’s infantile idea.     Pignati was the nicest man one could be, and it probably explains why he took John and Lorraine to the market, and bought them whatever they wanted. Among these were a pair of roller skates for all three of them, and they skated out wearing them as an infantile person would. While these skates seemed all fun and games at the moment, they were not. Just a few days after buying the skates, John, Lorraine, and Mr. Pignati were playing a game of skate tag. The rules were to not allow anyone to go upstairs in their skates during the game; however, John being the antagonistic player that he was did not follow the rules. He went up the stairs and Mr. Pignati chased after him. At this moment, Mr. Pignati suffered from a heart attack. Lorraine was mortified, but John somehow kept his cool and called the police. An ambulance to Mr. Pignati to the hospital where he stayed about a week. This was when Lorraine had the nightmare. This was no mundane nightmare however.
