The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe

I chose to watch “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” for my reflection paper and look how it relates to religious themes. In this paper I will talk about the story of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and identify the symbols of religion of the movie that I noticed while I was watching the film. This story is about story of four brothers to be drawn into another world “Narnia.” The movie was shown in 2006, and it was directed by Andrew Adamson and written by Andrew Adamson, Ann Peacock, Christopher Markus, and Stephen McFeely. They who came from an old myth may show that Narnia is the world where was just born. The power occurs around Jesus Christ in the bible and around Aslan in Narnia. Jesus Christ and Aslan use miracle and magic for helping other in both stories. Also, the wonder that happen in Jesus Christ and Aslan seems to have been done in fate or law that a bigger great person established, and these miracles work to lead the world for the better. In addition, it can be similar point that Jesus Christ and Aslan are had resentment from anyone. Jesus Christ are had resentment from rabbi of Judaism, and Aslan are had resentment from the White Witch. First people were born from ground in both world. The first human was made from soil, and the animals were born from soil in Narnia. Christ is a person whom God bestowed Mary as mother of Jesus, and children appearing in Narnia are people who came from another world. The person who stands on the top is chosen. This means it is special. Jesus Christ was recognized by God, and Pevensies’ children were accepted by Narnia. Besides, there is a prophecy about them. In my opinion, Narnia is a movie of Christian. The story of Narnia connected strongly to story of Christian culture and the bible. Narnia is also great religious movie. I think people normally don’t like religious movie because it seems difficult to understand about the story and message of the story. However, the movie is interesting and easy to understand.
