The Leader In Margaret Atwood's The Glade

This section of this book was my favorite section of the book. I think that Alby should have been more of a leader in the being because he was the leader and he collapsed and gave up. If you are about to die or if some of your friends are about to die, I really think that is when you should be the strongest leader you could be and not just quit. When the walls weren't closing I got really scared for everyone in the Glade. I thought that Teresa had something to do with the ending because when she came I started not to trust her. I was also a little confused when Teresa said the she had brought the ending. I didn't know what that meant, but then realized that that means that they will have to escape really soon. When Thomas, Teresa, and Chuck go to the cliff to jump through the griever hole all of the grievers were in the way. The gladers had made a path and when they jumped I was so nervous that they were just going to fall and that hole wouldn’t be there any more. WHen Chuck found they last part of the code to shut off the grievers I was so happy. When they got the people that served back I was sad because there were a lot less than what I thought there was going to be. When it was time to face the creators I felt bad for all of them because they were nervous and scared. They had tried to kill Thomas by thoughing a knife at him and Chucked had jumped in front of him to save him my heart broke. I wanted to cry because Chuck was still young and I felt so bad for him that he had to die. In my opinion Chuck had died a hero and I’m still really sad that he had died. The people that had rescued them from the creators I don’t trust them at all. This section of the book was my favorite and the most intense section of the
