The King's Illness In Oedipus The King
This story takes place in a happy, joyful castle. There was a king and a queen who had a young son who they believed would be the most happiest future ruler of all time. There was a plague going around and people were getting sick. The severity of their sickness was very high. The king and the queen worried for their son. They hired a caretaker to take care of their baby for when the king and queen died. The king and queen died shortly after. The caretaker was not prepared to take care of a baby by herself. One night, the caretaker was very destitute and had nothing for herself or the baby. She was fearful of what would happen to her since she was very sick and couldn't take care of the baby anymore. Moments later she died.
