“The Island”
The idea living in an isolated compound which is being governed by someone who applies a system that the residents should go after, and making them to believe that there is no life outside that community because of the said contamination with the exception of what they called an “island” and conducting a lottery wherein the one who won the game will leave the compound and will go to the island is somehow impressive and smart. It is so futuristic that there where high speed motorcycle, the biggest hologram display, and skyways. It is like building the most ideal community in which there were no quandary and there, in reality, lies behind a paradise. But apparently, inside this community is Lincoln Six Echo who has this extraordinary intelligence that has so much questions of what really is happening inside that community. Having a double thought about what an outside world is. And is there really a contaminated world? There is the part of the story where Lincoln Six Echo becomes so desperate to discover the truth. As he was secretly visiting McCord who becomes his friend who works at the basement, he accidentally found a large moth that flies in a ventilation shaft. It leads him to the conclusion that the outside world is really not contaminated. He decided to keep this moth inside a jar. Until one time, he realizes that this moth could be the answer to everything. He follows the moth to another section of the basement, where he found out that the said "lottery" is truly a disguise to eliminate inhabitants from the compound, where the "winner" is then used for organ transfer, a surrogate motherhood, and other purposes for each one's sponsors benefits. They were only clones of the people in the outside world and were made to sacrifice their life in order to extend the life of their sponsor.
