The Islam Worldview
The Islam worldview believe that Allah created mankind for His purpose. The Islam culture believes that the Bible is corrupt and Allah’s plan for mankind came through his ultimate prophet, Muhammad (Wieder and Gutierrez). The Holy Qur’an refers to Allah as the most gracious and merciful Islamic. Followers of Islam believe that they were created to serve and love Allah. When comparing Islamic worldview to Christian’s worldview, there are some similarities but they are different when it comes to the question of meaning and purpose. Luke 10:27 says “And he answered, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself’” (ESV).     Sunni, Shiite, and Sufi are three branches of Islam. The Shiite and Sunni’s were the first really major division of the Islamic religion. This division was the result of a political argument over who should precede Muhammed. Sunni’s name means tradition and they believed the legitimacy of the Orthodox caliphates, and based everything off those beliefs. Sunni’s believe that Muhammad did not designate a successor.
