Creation Story
The selection "The Iroquois Creation Story" is very much similiar to the bibles version of how the Earth was created. In "The Iroquois story" there was a woman who gives birth to two boys and shorty after falls to her demise. She gave birth to a good and evil son. The good son is the creator of good and uses his parents remains to creat the sun, moon and stars. He also goes along to create insects and animals to inhibit and live in the different habitats he created such as rivers, forest etc. The bad son went after the good son and created disruptive things. Things such as huge mountains in the forests the good son created, deep falls at the end of rivers and reptiles that were harmful to the ones created for good. As the bad son grew jealous of the good and his good creations they basically come to an agreement and decide to fight for the universe. They fought, the good son won and crushed the evil son into the earth, casting him away to be doomed eternally. This story is very similar to the biblical story of Cain and Abel. Cain later murdered his brother and as punishment he was cursed and banished from Gods presence and protection and was sent onto the land to provide for himself. That later began the expansion of a sinful, evil and corrupted world and continued until the 40 day flood that only Noah and the animals abord his ark survived. These stories were very similar but also differnt in many ways. There were both two boys, a good and evil one. The stories both turned sour because the bad...
