This book entitled The Invocation of God was written by Ibnu Jawziyya in which his real name is Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr. In this chapter, he stated that the heaven of this world is in our breast. One who does not conquer the heaven in the world will never be able to enter the heaven in the next world. He criticized people who are really wasteful for chasing the worldly matters for happiness without testing the sweetness of the heaven in this world. People can only taste the greatness of the heaven in the earth by submitting their heart for the blessings of the God solely. When their heart are mostly conquered by the remembrance of God, the heaven in the next world will pleasurably waiting for them. From my point of view, I agree with his argument as our actions are mainly started with our soul. The heart or soul act as a king that control our behavior, attitude and intention. If we manage to take care of our soul, we basically has achieve the ultimate purpose of our life which is to be blessed in this life as well as the life in the next …show more content…
In fact, Ibnu Qayyim also had provided several Quranic verses in every of his arguments to make it clearer. As for example, when he answered the questions about deeds, he provide along the verse from surah Al-Nur in which “Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient”. [24:55]. This quranic verse makes his argument stronger that people who are doing good deeds will attain permanent succession from God. As stated by Ibnu Qayyum in his book, being a morality person and give total submission to God are the key to get closer to Him. God loves who make effort to remember Him and be closed to Him. Thus, He promised the His blessings and guidance to face this fade world happily and

He states that God has a various way which is unsearchable of eliminating wicked people and ultimately sending them to hell. Moreover, he acknowledged that God held and restrained the devil with his mighty and powerful hand from descending onto human beings and destroying them. This is because the old serpent is depicted as being ready to pounce on them when the gate to hell is widely opened willing to swallow evil human beings. Although he concedes to these dark forces and principles that reign in hell are powerful, and he believes they cannot match the power and authority that God possesses. Lewis closes the book with a chapter on Heaven, affirming that “a book on suffering which says nothing of heaven, is leaving out almost the whole of one side of the account. Scripture and tradition habitually put the joys of heaven into the scale against the sufferings of earth, and no solution of the problem of pain which does not do so can be called a Christian one” (p.148). He contends that nowadays, we are very timid about mentioning heaven, afraid of the ridicule about ‘pie in the sky’ and dreaming of a happy world elsewhere, escaping our duty to make this world a happier place. Lewis postulates, “But either there is "pie in the sky" or…

Seeing the whole picture is key here in this book, though on the other hand, it isn’t the theme of the book exactly. Despite what many others may often believe, the theme of the book goes much deeper into what we can comprehend. It’s more throughout the purpose of coming back to God not only in the midst of our, as I mention it again, “Great Sadness”, but also in our joyful times as well. We need both in order to have Him all the time in our lives. So all in all it’s that when you are going through something joyous or depressing of nature, you must let God in as shown…

All that is good here on earth is found to be completely good in heaven. In addition, our eternal life with God does not begin when we die, who we are and the choice of our destiny, whether heaven or hell, is a challenge that we face every day. “Both processes begin even before death. The good man’s past begins to change so that his forgiven sins and remembered sorrows take on the quality of Heaven: the bad man’s past already conforms to his badness and is filled only with dreariness (69)…

Another view that is shared in this story is how you can reach your highest point or highest potential. It is said in order to have the highest aim it should be the “one” or the individual with the individual effort.
