This strife in technology cause children to be slaved out in workhouses, increased the divide from rich to poor, debtors prisons. But we could use some reforms today as they did then because the industrial revolution created which continues today a huge gap between poor and rich. You can get anything when your rich but you can't get jack when you poor.
