The Importance of Water Water is necessary to life. We not only can use it, and all living things need water to live. Without water, all living things will surely die of dehydration. Water is one of the most important elements for health. The human body build up by more than seventy percent of water. It helps human to digest and absorb mineral of food. It also helps to supply oxygen to the brain and other parts of organs. Following by the report, the importance of drinking water is at least eight glasses of clean water every day. We need water for drinking, cooking, washing and cultivating our fields. No one can survive without drinking water. Every day we drink litres of water. This sometimes takes the form of soft drinks and soups. Water is often added to dishes we cook. It is a necessary ingredient. When we wash dishes, clothes or cars, we use a lot of water. Farmers use water to cultivate their fields and to provide drinking water for their livestock. Waters is also used in many other ways. It is so precious natural resources and a source of energy. When it is converted into steam, it can be used to operate machines. Electricity comes from water. The power is cheap yet clean. It lights our homes and offices, and runs our factories. Dams are built across rivers not only to generate hydro-electricity but also to create reservoirs where water is stored to provide for drinking and irritation.
