The Importance Of The American Flag
In order to be an American, living there doesn’t mean you are an American. I believe to be an American you need to have to believe in the rules that it was founded upon and trust in your abilities in order to succeed. You also need to respect your fellow Americans in the hopes that they will treat you with the same respect. The same rule applies with American flag. The American flag represents what America and its people have struggled through throughout 300 years in order to maintain peace in our country. The flag has been held in the highest honor for the entire lifetime of this country and has seen the best and the worst of all the actions of its leaders and citizens. The one aspect that truly captures the essence of what it means to be an American is the respect that we have given the flag. …show more content…
Whether it’s before a board meeting, school, or a sporting event, the flag is respected and held first. The flag should be held above protesting and problems and should be saluted. This country was originally founded on the belief that people can be free and succeed if you work hard and trust in the skills that you have. The American flag represents that freedom and success that comes with hard work. It also represents the unity and peace that can be achieved through the binding and strength that is created through the American flag. When the American flag is forgotten or disrespected, we as a country lose a very crucial aspect that makes us different from the beasts that roam the woods. If we forget to respect the American flag we erase the qualities that make us truly American and the unity and peace that the flag was made to
