On the other hand, a realization came to students when the topic of Telehealth was also brought up while on the internship experience. Telehealth is about using an electronic tool to provide care remotely ("What Is Telehealth?"). Telehealth can enhance healthcare, public health knowledge, and health education to everyone worldwide ("What Is Telehealth?"). Telehealth is mostly used in the job field of radiology and radiology is known to be where Telehealth has been used the longest ("What Is Telehealth?"). This is where the radiologists take a film in a dark room and give a professional reading, based on what they see ("What Is Telehealth?"). Telehealth every day is providing daily ongoing care continuously ("What Is Telehealth?"). Relating back to the real world, telehealth seems to be coming into play with using more and more advanced tools ("What Is Telehealth?"). The new advanced tools are starting to come out and are going to be used more throughout places such as hospitals, care facilities, and retirement homes ("What Is Telehealth?"). …show more content…
According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment for Respiratory Therapists is expected to increase twelve percent from the year of 2014 to 2024 (“Summary”). That is faster than all the average occupations within the different occupations. As the years progress, more and more middle-aged and elderly population will have an incidence related to Respiratory Therapy (“Summary”).
