I believe that the world would be a better place if more people realized that the actions of a few do not define an entire group of people.
When influential public figures like Donald Trump use groups of people, like Mexicans and Muslims, as a scapegoat for America’s problems, it further perpetuates the stereotypes that those people have to suffer through every day. As you may know, Donald Trump has recently suggested that Muslims should be banned from entering the country. Scarily enough, there are people out there who actually support this idea. I don’t know about you, but it doesn’t seem very American to me to want to ban an entire religion from entering our country.
