Public Speaking can be defined as the process of speaking to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain the listeners or a way of making your own ideas public by sharing them with other people and of influencing other people.

Public speaking is a skill that is very important for student, college and career. However, some people may find it difficult due to their lack of experience in speaking or afraid been laughed by public. Public speaking is often a powerful way to make a good impression on others and to help bridge gaps in understanding, cooperation and set goals and objectives.

A necessary preparation should be made first before going up for a speech. Public speaking helps to communicate important messages internal and external of an organization or public. Learning to practice public speaking helps student to prepare a message for each type of audience.

The ability to present ideas clearly and persuasive gives people a voice in society. They can freely join the ongoing cultural conversation that takes place in politics, religion, education, business, arts and all other arenas of their lives. A training in public speaking helps to build confidence in student so that they may influence local, national or even international decision in the future.

When you successfully deliver a good speech, the kind of personal satisfaction you experience is unparalleled. A positive response from the audience can help you feel much more confident. Thus, it can bring about a lot of improvement in your personality. By enabling yourself to master this difficult skill you'll have the confidence that you need to meet and greet future challenges.
