Minimum wage should be calculated by the amount of people in that person's household, and everyoneś income. Minimum wage isn´t something you can live off of for years, it´s mostly for teens to young adults to live off minimum wage because it gives them a little money to take care of themselves while able to get something on the side if they wanted to. Minimum wage is $10.00 per hour in California and if you work 8 hours a day, that´s enough to get by in this environment if youŕe single and living alone, but what if youŕe a single mother or father w/ 2 kids getting no help? The best the parent or guardian can do is get a quick job and the best they can do is get minimum wage and they have families to take care of them. The job someone is working at who is getting minimum wage should just look at the best possible way to pay someone if all they are getting is the lowest possible income. People should be able to live off minimum wage while taking care of loved ones because there is always different situations and not everyone
People who actually worked and have a hard time getting a job and when they finally do get a job it's the lowest payment possible, which is the same for the people who are hand giving a job because of the things they did in the past and they get the same payment as the person who been struggling to get a job which isn't fair. Even though it could be that person fault on why they only getting the lowest payment possible because of their lack of education, past jobs, or just never having work experience.
