The Importance Of Intervention In Moffat Schools

Moffat school has a beautiful new building that was built to meet all current safety standards. It has proper exits in every room of the building. They have a buzz in entrance that can only be accessed by the front desk manager. This protects the students from unwanted visitors and keeps them safe. The school has automatic door locks that can be accessed by a key card and each of the teachers possess one. This means that all doors can be exited but cannot be reentered without teacher or staff approval. This also, means that no one can enter the building that shouldn't be there. The students and staff practice fire drills every month. They have specific line up drills and student roll call that they use to insure that everyone is accounted for and knows where they should be in the case of an emergency. I really wasn't able to find out very much information about the schools intervention program. I guess I was not exactly sure what kind of intervention program I was referring to. I thought it was about intervention for bullying, so I asked around but nobody had an answer for me. It has been pretty crazy over there so it was hard to find someone that could answer the question for me. I will look a little deeper into the schools intervention program on my next few visits. When I was there the chefs came out and asked every student about their lunch experience and took a survey on the children's favorite lunches throughout the week. They worked to provide healthy food that they kids liked but also listened to the children and improved based on their feedback. I am so impressed with the healthy food program at the Moffat school and feel like they have really embraced the system and made it the preferred option for all involved.
