The Importance Of Clothes In The 1920's
In fashion, men and women remained tied to the formalities of Victorianism even when they complained about them. Men’s clothes in the 1920’s were more comfortable than the women’s, jackets were high waisted and had higher pockets and buttons. Trousers were of medium width which was cut long in the leg with turned-up hems. For a more formal or business look they wore a black jacket with striped trousers and a dark long suit. All men wore hats back then no matter under what circumstance either it's cold or hot, men were topped by a Panama straw hat or the shallow, flat top hats. Autumn and winter were all about the felt fedora, worn with panache by gangsters but beloved by all men for their style and comfort.
