What do you think of when someone mentions the Amazon Rainforest to you? Some might say an exotic jungle full of some of the most unique plants and animals you have ever seen. Well this might surprise you but that exotic jungle you might be thinking of is getting cut down for multiple reasons at a shocking rate of 150 acres per hour. Well I’m personally here to say that cutting down this extraordinary gift of mother nature will in fact cause more harm than leaving it be. This not just being caused by the animals but the plants that use photosynthesis as well.
There is a towering amount of over 4,000 different types of species of plants in the rain forest. Each of them using photosynthesis to produce oxygen from carbon dioxide for us to breath. Now imagine just how hard it would be to breath ,with a giant amount of the plants gone not producing oxygen. Rain forest as a whole produce 20% of the world's oxygen, the Amazon by itself stores a huge amount of carbon itself. This being said cutting down the Amazon Rainforest would release the carbon in the form of carbon dioxide which would in fact harm the human race as whole. Now of this 10 million, 2,633 of those species are endangered so you can just imagine that number skyrocketing considering the fact that will the Amazon getting cut down many of the animals that live there will die from habitat lost.Not only that the few animals that do survive could cause harm to us by using human made structures such as businesses, homes, parks and other places to use as a new place to live.
