The Importance Of Affinity Group Leaders
Hello Affinity Group Leaders,

I would like to express my earnest (and long overdue) appreciation to you for serving as one of our facilitators during the last All Corps Event. We needed many facilitators like you to support this very important work and we are lucky that you agreed to help us. We are highly obliged for the time and effort you have put in as a volunteer facilitator despite your busy schedule and the various responsibilities that you have as a teacher. The corps members who participated in your group shared very positive feedback in the survey and are yearning for more! As Corbin and I prepare for the Spring All Corps Event on March 19th, it is our hope that you would lead a session to build on the previous experience.

Being a member of Best Buddies and SAVE, I demonstrate a strong sense of dedication for supporting others and lending a helping hand. The goals of both Best Buddies and SAVE are to further acceptance, embrace diversity, promote safety in schools, and spreading positive energy. As a student representative, my sole objective would be to help enlighten the school board and those in the community about the daily life at MHS, advocate for the 1,600 students currently attending, and respectively relay any helpful amendments that would benefit the Mukwonago Area School District. The multiple clubs I participate in and the copious amounts of friendships I developed with people that have contrasting passions also allow me to speak on behalf of a relatively large group of students. The students taking part in the same activities that I belong to range from freshman to seniors. The opinions of a freshman compared to that of a senior’s may vary drastically, and being a part of clubs with a sample of each year will give me an advantage to hear an assortment of…

Thank you once again for conducting and holding the MiLB Diversity Leadership at Tennessee State University. Taking time out of your busy schedules to speak and educate students who want to expand on their knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes. Speaking on the extraordinary and limitless possibilities for minorities really allowed me to never sell myself short because I never know what opportunities are awaiting for me if I don't apply myself. Being rewarded for my resume' to attend the PBEO Job Fair in December was something I did not expect, but once I was awarded for something that is a positive and outstanding reputation of myself. I appreciate all of what each one of you have done individually to touch and impact…

I was elected as the president of Interact Club during my second year as a result of my dedication and passion to the volunteer services of this organization. Within my school, I advocated and promoted the importance of offering hands-on service projects to local communities. I felt a sense of gratification and accomplishment as the coordinator of this event for directing the members into diligently working together to produce an impressive final float. In the book Leadership Ethics, the journey begins with the author Terry Price asking the reader to think about three critical questions 1) Are leaders morally special 2) Is there something ethically distinctive about the relationship between leaders and followers and 3) Should leaders do whatever it takes to achieve group goals? By definition ethics are the rules of conduct recognized in respect to a particular class of human actions or a particular group or culture. Throughout his entire life philosophical scholar Socrates was predominantly interested in ethics. He believed that self-knowledge is the sufficient condition to the good life. He identified knowledge with virtue. If knowledge can be learned, so can virtue. Thus, virtue can be taught. If this is indeed the case and virtue could be taught, then society should be able to be molded into a perfect image of humanity. We all aim to emulate Socrates ethical intellectualism, however according to Aristotle’s criticism, an individual might know what is best, yet still do what's wrong. Dependent on the leader’s philosophy and personal beliefs, the relationship between that of leader and his followers could emulate that of Socrates true image or Aristotle’s criticisms.…
