The Implementation Of The Management Functions In A Workplace

When a company goes into business one of the first considerations is management, it is one of the most important parts. This is what I call the control center or where all things stems from, this is where the goal is held and all controls started "The bridge". On that bridge we have five different control modules or five functions of management they are: Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling and Coordinating. These functions have to be totally integrated into all aspects of the business. No matter the business the goals of the company must be the driving force behind everything the foundation. When a manager stands in front of one of these control modules they have to understand that for company achieve the overall goals and be successful that goal has to be held very tight. In this paper I will attempt to cover all five modules and show how it works at DJM Enterprises. DJM is a small aircraft parts wholesale distributor in South Florida, its main business is the distribution of expendable parts used on airplanes. The goal of the company is to provide quality parts and a reasonable price and to acknowledge that its employees are its greatest assets. About twelve years ago DJM was born. In the first couple of years the goal of providing quality parts at a reasonable price was the driving force. There only three people in a small warehouse surrounded by parts. Four years in the owner realized this concept was getting to big for the three of them to handle and they had to figure out a way to incorporate the family feel with the integrity of a repeatable company. So they started out by forming their "Bridge". Planning was the first on the agenda.
