THESIS STATEMENT
Instead of dividing the human race into characteristics, one must recognize that the whole essence of the human being is the exact image and likeness of God.

INTRODUCTION

There are several biblical questions, From Christology, "What think ye of Christ?” From Soteriology "What must I do to be saved?" and From Eschatology "What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" the question, "What is man, that thou art mindful of him?" (Anthropology) must also be asked.1 The question, what is man, was asked by David in the book of Psalms, while he was reflecting on the majesty of God and thinking about the infinite enormity of the heavens. What is man question has been asked yet still

I admire Radford Ruether’s argument for female inclusion in Church leadership. Her citation of historical factors that led to the conception of a patriarchal line of command works to nearly discredit the Church’s stance. I think she attacks an issue that is holding the Church back from gaining legitimacy in the modern world: their utter dismissal of…

When approaching the concept of grace, many people often assume that it is “other” - a mysterious force that exists beyond human understanding. They believe that grace is a divine gift that cannot be humanly grasped because of its supernatural nature. Others believe that mediated grace - God as experienced through the senses in a purely human manner - is a vital way to bridge the ontological gap (an extreme difference in being that separates the earthly and the divine). Christian theologians from the beginning of the faith have debated the qualities attributed to this phenomenon because of its sheer importance; when dealing with vastly different elements, such as humans and God, the search for an intermediary force is obviously considered a necessity. Over and over, throughout the history of Christianity, we see mediated grace as a bridge, a power that unites, binding together the natural and the supernatural, the human and the divine, and ideas that often appear initially incompatible.…

In the beginning, God have always wanted a relationship with man. He formed man in his own image. Not wanting the man to be alone, he put him to sleep and took one of his ribs. He formed woman from Adam's rib. Adam was able to name the woman, which he named Eve. They walked in the garden daily naked. I will discuss these two topics: The Fall of Man and Reconciliation. Because of Eve's deception, they were exiled out of the garden. In the cross, reconciliation was made.…

The bible is very male-centric. In the first chapter of the Bible, for example, God gives Adam the right to name the world around him. “…Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” This paper will explore how women are a muted group in one of the most widely known and influential books in history; the bible.…
