The Happiest Moment in My Life
The Happiest Moment in My life People always say that it is the happiest moment of my life, and I will remember it forever. I thought the opposite until I lived the moment and I knew yes this is it. This is the happiest moment in my life. The day that my life changed, and made me happy is the 5th of December 2013 at a beach resort in my hometown Jeddah. It was my wedding. I knew that my wife is special the first day we met. I knew my Mother-in-law for 14 years, but I never met her daughter, my wife Mayan. I saw her once and it was on my sister’s wedding. I liked her, but I was too busy with my studies in Germany. After 13 years my friend told me about her, and she planned a date for us. Actually Mayan didn’t know it’s a date. From the first moment there was chemistry between us. We went out more often together and we decided to think seriously about getting married .From here another stage started; is the planning for the wedding. Me and Mayan both are open minded, and we decided to make our wedding different, not the typical traditional wedding. We wanted it to be our wedding. So we decided to make our wedding mixed gender. Maybe it sounds normal for people who never lived in Saudi Arabia, but believe me, it’s not. The wedding in Saudi Arabia is normally boring because the groom doesn’t celebrate with the bride, and the rest of the family. It was difficult to convince our parents to make it a mixed gender wedding. The second problem was to find a location for the wedding. It is illegal to make mixed gender wedding in Saudi Arabia. It took us more than three months to find a private beach resort that allowed us to hold the wedding. The planning for the wedding was one of the hardest tasks in my life. We both did all the planning. Once we were done we were ready for the big day. In the morning of December the 5th 2013, I woke up so early; I think it was the excitement that woke it me up 5 a clock in the morning I couldn’t sleep. I wasn’t anxious I just

In a strict society such as that of Yemen it is easy to see why parents are essential to the choice of a suitable marriage partner. With the exception of relationships within the family, daily life is based on a strict separation of the sexes. A young man has little or no chance of meeting women, particularly those of his own generation. Instead, he has to rely on the advice of his mother of older sisters and aunts. In a Yemeni family there is a bride search, parental agreement, the suitor meeting, two family greeting, exchange of the brides wealth, three day wedding, Laylat az-Zaffa the wedding ceremony,…

My Most pivotal moment in my life was when I almost got shot. I know you’re probably thinking I’m crazy because how can almost getting shot be a good thing? Well I’m going to tell you why. It all started on July 31, 2015 me and all my cousins were sitting in the house, and they decided that we should go out. I honestly didn’t want to go but they forced me. That night we went to a club, had fun until the night was over. We started leaving the club and as we were walking toward the parking lot a group of guys just started fighting out of the where. It got crazy and chaotic quick. The security from the club came running outside trying to break up the fight; eventually they did. At that point we thought everything was over so we left and went to…

I was fifteen years old when I first saw a wedding ceremony in Mexico. All the people in the church were happy and animated. Everybody was sitting and waiting for the bride to arrive. The groom looked nervous and excited. Finally the bride arrived to the church, everybody was clapping and smiling to her; it was so beautiful to see that two persons were about to join their lives forever. However, nobody could imagine all the effort that the couple did to make the ceremony wedding happen. When a couple wants to marry, the first step to do is to ask for the bride. In Mexico, the tradition is that the groom and his parents visit the family’s bride. Usually the meeting is to have permission of her parents and to start planning the wedding. If the parents of the bride accept and allow the wedding, they must start planning the wedding. In some states of the south of Mexico, the groom has to pay for the bride, but in the majority that is not longer used. It is also common that both parts of the families pay for the wedding, but in the past the groom’s parents paid for everything. The couple must talk with their priest and set the date of the wedding. The clothes to be wear in a wedding are a white dress and the bridal veil. Some people think seeing the bride before the wedding ceremony is bad luck which is why the man cannot see the bride until they meet at the altar. The groom usually wears a black suit, but in some communities the couple has to wear the typical costumes of the region.…

Love will not be in the equation for many at first. Compatibility is the key to ease all tension in the relationship. This gives the couple little time to dispute so they can focus on each other and not their differences. Spouses are meticulously chosen based on shared values so decisions like the upbringing of future kids, keeping family traditions and the culture alive will remain. It’s in best interest of all parties involved if both the bride and groom are from the same social and economic class. As Serena Nanda revealed the chosen bride will be highly esteemed, religious, soft-spoken and modest. She rarely gossip and will avoid conflict at all cost. Both bride and groom will be what each family will choose as a great representation of their family.…
